Sunday lunch choice of chicken/beef big bowls of veg couldn’t be better. Both roasts cooked perfectly.

My friend and I popped in for some food after watching the football in Yeovil. And this place certainly cheered us up!

Love this little gem, don’t be afraid to venture in. Lovely atmosphere, all staff have a can do attitude. Drinks, food and service fab. We will be back to try more of the menu. Speisekarte ansehen

Been coming here regularly for the last 6-7 years. Lovely little pub with great food.. enormous portions. You can always guarantee a warm welcome and a full tummy on departure.

Came for dinner while staying in the area. The staff were friendly and the food was lovely and large portions. The place had a lovely atmosphere and was quite busy which is a good sign I think.

We'd highly recommend a meal in Oscar's Wine Bar if you're staying in Crewkerne. We had an excellent dinner there, the portions were very generous and the menu was varied. The staff were friendly and helpful and the whole place had a quirky cosy feel. Speisekarte ansehen

We came here with a friend for a Sunday roast as we had been told it was good.Wow....Huge , perfectly cooked meal,love the way it was brought out on a platter.And love the fact that you are encouraged to take your leftovers home.Had a lovely roast beef sandwich for tea!Staff are always friendly,and there's a good laid back atmosphere.Can't wait to return.

We arrived to late for lunch as the kitchen was closed , the barmaid Amy offered to make us a sandwich, it arrived within minutes I had prawn my husband had cheese toasty and they were both delicious . They had a spiral staircase going downstairs to the cellar my husband asked were it went , Amy took him downstairs and showed him cells which date back to the 13 th century he was fascinated. Amy was so kind .

My husband and I popped in here on a brief stop over in Crewkerne as it was just over the road from our hotel. Up the alley way at the side of the bar they had a pop-up cocktail bar and were playing music. There was also a nice touch of a juke box in a phone box. We sat inside, it was quite dark but this made it cosy. It seemed to have a steady trade all night as we propped up the bar chatting for a while. The bar staff seemed polite and friendly and even when my husband complained about the taste of the cider they changed it with no fuss and said they’d had a problem with the barrel but they thought it had been fixed.
