We stopped in this small restaurant lost in the streets of the centre. We ate very well, in a pleasant atmosphere. Try the truly rich Venetian fish starter. The place is not in a typical place for tourists, you need to look for it, but believe me, it’s worth it. The food is amazing, the homemade wine is also excellent. Antico Giardinetto was our best meal in Italy so far. The veal ragu and pasta were delicious. My wife enjoyed the scallops, zucchini and linguini. We split the second course of sea bream with a side of grilled vegetables. Topped it off with a first rate Tiramisu. We met chef Virgilio who was hospitable and kind. Molto Bene e Grazie Mille! This restaurant has a very nice terrace and pleasant service. However, we were very disappointed by the cuisine: the dish was much too salty (and in a small portion compared to the high price compared to the market) and the dessert much too sweet... Although the menu offers very good wines, the one in the carafe was bad. Generally speaking, the quality/price ratio is very disappointing. Price per person: €20–30

Favorite address, not only in Venice but in general in Italy. Small, intimate room with 16 seats, and as many on the terrace for sunny days. Reduced menu, for dishes and wines (each fits on 2 pages). The cooking is just perfect for the seafood and risotto, the wines (all available by the glass) a cut above other traditional restaurants, the divine and airy tiramisu, the coffee and the delicious limoncello, what a faultless dish! The icing on the cake: the lady at the service is very delicate and efficient, and always with a friendly smile. For epicurean couples.
