"always enjoy visiting my local pub! lee (the renter, claire, elliot and dave are some of the teams that I have "discovered my visits and they are nothing but friendly, courteous, responsive and hard work! I have had a few times eat here and that was always tasty and cheap, there is a great selection of drinks including cocktail pitchers (see 'purple rain' in the picture. I think the pub is in the process of bringing DJ nights to 80s, 90s and 00s music. that is something that is lacking at present and will be brilliant for the natives at the weekend! all in all I would highly recommend to give this beautiful pub a visit, they will not be disappointed:"

"what a wonderful sound!. a beautiful experience from the moment we were greeted. I would recommend the booking, as it will be filled late midday. dedicated Sunday menu, but my man had really only come for the lamb and although not on the menu he could have it. my friend and I had the Sunday-Roast dinner. 3 meat with yorkshire puddle, maize and bratkartoffeln with sufficient veg for all 3 of us delivered. a fair choice of desserts, but it was a whip of crumble all round to complete. the personal was attentive, but not intrusive and the whole place was clean. it is obviously a very well managed establishment. the beer garden is definitely worth mentioning and probably another reason to go back. there we even have pods with heating and lighting. we will definitely be back for a location of the tempting lunch menu. well made to the whole team. a fantastic job."

"We have visited this cafe several times previously it 's fine, average food, service and atmosphere and as there is a lack of options for casual eating out in the local town it has always served as a satisfactory option. Twice in the past month we have attempted to visit (myself, my mum and my toddler) and have been turned away at the door by an over zelous owner who, through a sickly grin, delighted in telling us fully booked I 'm afraid! In front of the entire cafe despite multiple empty tables. I find it hard to believe that in a quiet town on a rainy Thursday afternoon the cafe is fully booked. We felt we were turned away as we had my daughter with us, who is nearly two and extremely well behaved but wasnt given a chance to even set foot in the cafe. There are no signs stating children aren 't welcome but I can 't think of another reason we weren 't allowed in as the place was practically empty. Had they given another reason kitchen 's closed etc, we would have understood but felt embarrassed and humiliated on the doorstep for the second time in a month. Absolutely appalling! I cannot believe we were treated like this and that this gatekeeper of a cafe owner is judging potential customers the moment they set foot in his cafe. Disgusting, discriminatory behaviour. We won 't be visiting again. May your regulars be enough to keep your business going, eh?"
