"First impressions was the place was nicely decorated and tables were of ample size. The place wasnt busy when we arrived, only 3 tables occupied. Order our drinks while viewing the menu. After ordering it took 25 minutes for our drinks to arrive I...ordered pint of coke, which was tasteless). My starter of Blackpudding Tower, which consisted of homemade potato scone/blackpudding/bacon poached egg. The scone was well over done and just went to crumbs as soon as you cut it and there was more grease than bacon on the bacon. Wifes mixed pakora was 1 mushroom, 1 vegetable and 3 chicken pakora with salad and dip. Again chicken was over done, dry and inedible. The mains of haddock for me and chicken tikka curry for my wife were ok with good portions. The staff were friendly enough however 1 of the servers had a strong smell of weed that was off putting. In summary theres alot of other places in the area we'll be trying before considering going back."

"The hubby I popped in here for lunch today and can honestly say it was superb! Great customer service from the get-go. Everything on the menu is appealing, so will be going back until I've tried everything at least once. Delicious burgers with home-made accompaniments like aioli and their own relish (which is yum btw). But for me the winner was the beer battered onion rings, which were outstanding. Only wish I'd had room for dessert!!"

"What a great find!! As a new vegan, I've been searching for great places to eat out locally with minimum fuss, but where the dishes had had a bit of thought put into them. I just happened to be in Montrose and found Diamond Lil's using the HC app. I took my girls (2 8yrs) and we were made to feel really welcome by Nic, our host. The food was fabulous. Loads of vegan (and veggie) options to choose from on the menu, and with vegan specials and desserts! My girls were thrilled to find out there was vegan chocolate ice cream! Can't wait to go back. Highly recommended."

"Visited the Roos Leap for lunch as our grandson always likes to go there when he is with us. The food is excellent a lot of dishes that would normally be considered as fast food taken to another level and the desserts are fantastic. You definitely won 't leave hungry. The service was very good in fact better than we have had in a lot of high end restaurants.The only negative that the prices have gone up considerably since our last visit."

"Went for lunch yesterday with friends, good food, service was good, because we weren't getting good signal we couldn't order at table, not problem just went bar ordered what we wanted. My only criticism was the tartare sauce tasted strange, couldn't eat it. Great place for families. Kids portion was really big, we had fish and chips, scampi and chips, lasagna garlic bread, kids tomato pasta, portion cheesy garlic bread and onion rings plus kids meal they get pudding so chocolate icecream. Price per person: £50–60 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3 Recommended dishes: Scampi and Chips Above Fish and Chips, Oven-Baked Lasagne"
