Rose and Crown - Speisekarte

Had a great meal with friend food was excellent, can not thank the staff enough because I don't speak any work of French. Next time in the area, I'll make time to visit the pub.

This is an English run pub which serves great food nestled in the chateau town of Le Lude. There is a wonderful friendly atmosphere whether you are English or French and the food is delicious!

Finally real fish carvings, ie fish cooked in dough at a very reasonable price, also knickerbocker fame as dessert and do not treat surprisingly as in the possession of English people. English beer too. Efficient service (the waitress is bilingual). Clean. You can eat. Open for lunch and dinner. Easy to park. Better to book. Speisekarte ansehen

Visited the R&C during a recent business visit to LeLude. The food and atmosphere were amazing and the staff elevated the experience to another level. I would highly recommend you drop by if you are in the area regardless whether you are just looking for food or are in need of a social drink, you will be hard pressed to find a better venue in LeLude than the Rose & Crown.

The Rose and Crown comes as a surprise in the heart of the small town of La Lude. The food here is excellent. We were there for lunch. The English hostess, Lulu, is charming and very welcoming. She speaks fluent French. Some nice beers on...tap and wines to accompany your food followed by really hot coffee. This is a highly recommended place to eat with indoor and outside seating. The Lude Château is nearby which is well worth visiting.

Very welcoming English style pub with pub grub. Yes, the fish and chips are very good, Fish was superb. The mushroom entree was very tasty and juicy, if a little greasy. Now to the beer. This may be the most difficult problem for a pub in France - trying to get draught bitters from Angleterre - next to impossible, but wouldn't it be lovely if ...There's Guinness, Stella, Bombardier - all good but how about CAMRA in France? They thought I was joking when I said I had done a 100km round trip , just to eat Fish n Chips !!!. Well I DID !! Saumur to Le Lude and back !!. Was it worth it I hear you ask ??!YES it was !!, and I will be going back with friends. The fish was super with a light crispy batter, served with mushy peas, tartar sauce, chips, and a lemon wedge of course !.I am looking forward to trying their Curry, and also other fare on the menu. If I had any critisim, it would be that there are no prices to be found anywhere for the food or drinks, and maybe a little more lighting as I found it a little sombre.

Now in new property, but with the same superb management! Welcome is always warm and bilingual, so everyone feels at home. Food has reached a new high excellence. The new owner finances both the renovation and the expansion that the existing... Dining area significantly enlarged and bar room for typical barracks added. I like the fish and chips that are undoubtedly the best in the area and are best available in British coastal areas. My wife had the excellent ribs but needed a bag to bring half of the home I enjoyed the next day. My son went for the burger with onion rings and there was a lot of choice for my daughter who is vegan. Menu for all pallets, good Cornish caught beer, Guinness and...

This tonight was my second visit to The Rose and Crown, but with different friends. The menu had changed and included more wonderful dishes to choose from, and there was still the fish and chips in glorious beer batter. it's important to add that the fish is quay side fresh and you can tell, not frozen. I had the lambs liver this time, which was perfectly cooked with bacon and first class gravy. If only our ever first experience of liver was this Good! The mashed potato was fluffy and light and not puréed.. Everything is so reasonably priced and the Bombadier beer was excellent and at a good price too.
