I had ordered from this restaurant a few times before, as it was popular on Eat Street. I assumed it was just a rebranding and not a change in ownership. However, I noticed that portions were smaller and the quality was average. I had never dined in the restaurant before, but after reading the reviews below, it explained a lot. The menu looked promising, but it was not as good as it seemed.

The food was frozen and reheated, the service was terrible, and we were the only customers in the restaurant. The owner was nowhere to be found and the waiter didn't know how to process our payment, so we had to wait until the owner returned. We spent over £40 on two main courses and two kombuchas. There was no passion in the food, the coffee lacked love, and there was no attention given to the customers. I do not recommend this restaurant.

I would give 1 star but Happy Cow doesn’t allow for it. Ordered from here a few times since the reboot hoping I just had a one off bad experience but no. Chips are awful, just frozen pub style chips. Burger and tofu fish were very bland. Ordered from Just Eat and everything arrives freezing needing to be put in the oven. Strange place. Stood at the door waiting to be seated while being ignored by the one member of staff. Then he took ages to take a drinks order and even longer to make coffee. At no point wore a mask for covid safety. The food was edible but not tasty by any means. I had the spanakopita and my partner had the pie which came in a tin foil case and had obviously just been reheated. The jackfruit tasted unseasoned and like it was straight out the tin. Both dishes were lukewarm. They were served with a couple of massive lettuce leaves and the food was also in bowls which made it hard to cut. I worked at this restaurant for three weeks in April/May 2021. Unfortunately, I cannot give it stars as HappyCow does not allow that. Here are some of the issues I encountered during my time there: - Everything was dirty and dishes were hand washed in cold water because the owner did not want to repair the dishwasher or pay for hot water. The owner is very unprofessional and we were the only ones in the restaurant the whole visit. at the beginning there is a sign when they enter which states “please wait to take place”, if we had done that we are there for 10 minutes, although there is only 1 person in already. my partner ordered the garlic and chili tofu bites that arrived rock hard to the point they hurt to bite (was definitiw reheated) along the side some barely warm sweet potato friries loaded with a piece of reheated speck and sprinkle of cheese. By my reckoning, this is the only vegan place in Belfast open in the evening, in fact possibly all of Northern Ireland. That alone deserves 5 stars. I'm happy to stand corrected. I think it has only been open for a few weeks. It is on the site of eat street. We visited when only outside dining is permitted and prebooking is recommended. AVOID SAGE AT ALL COSTS. I rarely write reviews but had to make an exception for this place, for the sake of sparing others the experience we had. Where do I begin?
