"This restaurant has been a family favourite of ours for a long time as we live less than a 10 minute walk away we visit often. It’s a very popular venue is always busy but more so during the summer months as you would expect. They serve a range of good wholesome food to suit every appetite as a large family we have never had a problem with any of it. The muscles are a personal favourite of mine again I have enjoyed them numerous times without issue. With reference to some other reviews I will say that it doesn’t pretend to be a 5 star restaurant in some areas the decor does require updating but it is in a lovely location overlooking the marina. It also serves very nice food when it’s very busy I guess there may be the odd issue as with all businesses. There have been some staff changes recently but the long term members of staff are lovely always happy to help. Price wise we usually pay an average of £15 to £20 per head for a couple of coffees a main course which I consider to be a reasonable amount for lunch."

The food at this restaurant was of poor quality. When we discreetly pointed out that we were given incorrect dietary advice (which could be harmful), the manager rudely told us not to return. We will happily take that advice.

Went for an early coffee as researching area before bringing family. Good coffee but why paper cup! Service good. It wasn't very busy so why some customers are given paper cups whilst others had decent, ceramic ones? Will not be going there or recommending as slipshod management.

This place needs a complete revamp. The decor is so outdated. The toilets are poor. I always think if the toilets in a restaurant are in bad shape it’s not a good indicator of general cleanliness in the establishment . The floor in the restaurant needed sweeping. The owner is very miserable. He needs to cheer up a bit if he’s in a business dealing with the public.

Extremely disappointed. This was once our favourite place to go for coffee/breakfast. Not anymore! The food was horrible, sausages cheap and soggy. Hash browns very over cooked. The coffee was bitter and burnt. There was an older gentleman, shirt half undone serving at the till, we attempted to have a discussion about the food and coffee, he was rude, dismissive and disinterested. On that basis alone we will not be returning. The waiting staff are always lovely, such a shame they have been let down by everything else!

I have been living in Eastbourne for years and normally go to a café located in the harbour called de leitos. However, it was closed so we decided to go to 4 Seasons. The last time we went, we found the staff to be rude and this visit confirmed why we hadn't returned. As soon as we walked in and sat down at a spare seat, a miserable old man rudely told us we should have waited to be seated and pointed out a sign we apparently missed. We decided to leave as the customer service was shocking. Do not recommend this place at all.

Like many previous reviewers, we have known 4 seasons for many years. Sadly, this restaurant has changed hands in recent times, now owned/ managed by Bob a gentleman who has yet to understand the value of good social interaction. Whilst I won’t go into the detail of our short exchange, it’s interesting that the poor young staff do not replicate the attitude of their employer and, if anything, smile and apologise. Our hot drinks would certainly not win any prizes, but merely provided the opportunity of two friends having a catch up. 4 seasons served a purpose but I would be less than willing to recommend.

The interior of the restaurant looks worn out and could use some updating and cleaning (we even noticed exposed electrical wires near our table). The staff, for the most part, are friendly and attentive, except for one older man who seems to be the owner or manager. He comes across as rude and treats customers as if they are a bother, which is disappointing. The coffee and cake were delicious, but unfortunately, we won't be rushing back anytime soon. Despite living in this area for 5 years and dining here multiple times, the presence of this particular individual consistently ruins the overall dining experience.

We have been here many times, and always enjoyed it. The food we had yesterday was nice, but way too much green leaves on the plate. Serving staff were lovely as always. The owner looks like he needs a good wash shave, and doesn't care about himself, the staff, the restaurant, or the customer! The restaurant itself is in need of decoration and modernisation. Although clean, the toilets are in poor condition, and not easy to access, as limited space. This is a lovely location, with tons of free parking, and could be a little gold mine! Please don't let this restaurant fail, take steps to make it what it was, and can be, a great place to eat and relax.

My wife and I have had coffee there perhaps 3 or 4 times a week and occasionally something to eat. The staff have all been very friendly with the exception of, I assume, the owner who has always given the impression of misery, but, today, however, he took it to an entirely new level. We arrived at 2.55 and wished to sit in the more comfortable seating as my wife suffers from a bad back. Despite the fact that many tables were free, we were brusquely told we couldn’t as they were for lunches and when asked why as many tables were available, we were told “take it or leave it” and he simply walked off, by which time it was 3.00 Never had such an experience before, ever, anywhere!
