"Absolutely beautiful restaurant with amazing food. This is definitely a hidden gem of Leeds. The food has never failed to not only be generous in portion size, but also consistently delicious. I ordered the chicken makhani and it was beautifully creamy. I've never had a makhani as good as the one served here.The normal size garlic naan was easily enough to share between two people (which we did)! The staff were also incredibly friendly and attentive, and had a great rapport with customers. The toilets were also beautifully clean and spacious, and the restaurant will happily box up any leftovers to take home, which was useful as I couldn't finish all my curry! We will definitely be coming back again!"

Shabab was recommended to me 27 years ago by an Indian waiter in Southport. It's moved since but I only first tried it last night. Cracking food and good service. Will be back without hesitation.

Shabab Express provides a pleasant greeting and delicious dishes. The Fish Jalfrezi was excellent. However, I found the Sag Paneer to be a bit too sweet for my liking, as well as the chutneys that came with the papadoms.

The staff are lovely, very efficient and friendly. The menu is straightforward and the food is just great. Interesting Morrocan feel to the restaurant ? with lanterns and upturned umbrellas on the ceiling. Very reasonably priced dishes.

25 years on and still eating is always perfect the restaurant has a great atmosphere and the staff are all so professional and helpful I had recently out my gall bladder and they could not do enough to help me get back to the eating I love by my meal without oil thanking so much

Called in for a quick dinner prior to going to a concert. Our first visit to Shabab, we were greeted by a gentleman I assumed to be the owner who was quite jovial and shown straight to a table. The menu was less extensive than some Indian restaurants but for me that’s a positive. The waitress was very pleasant and service prompt. The food was lovely and I’d definitely visit again.

Pretty poor service and food at Shabab Express, Leeds although the express part lived up to it's name! We felt rushed, that the food was quite generic (two completely separate dishes we ordered were exactly the same I kid you not... Lovely chapatis though! Coffee tasted rubbery and stale. Won't be returning which is a shame as the place is lovely in terms of decor and it was certainly busy on a saturday night, we paid £20 a head though and everyone had indigestion afterwards.
