Best Indian takeaway in Moulsham Street. Always prompt on service and the food is delicious. Would particularly recommend the Lamb Dopiaza.

Food is always delicious and full of flavour. Delivery times can vary depending on how busy they are, nearly always on time. Thoroughly recommend.

Have been using shapla for over 20 years. Overall good, tasty food but what is going on with the meat samosa? As small as a postage stamp, no minced lamb to be seen (a smear of paste and potatoes). Very disappointed- used to be good Speisekarte ansehen

Outstanding! First time I’ve tried this Indian and I certainly wasn’t disappointed. Delicious meal, delivered on time! The best dansak I have ever tried. Wife had a dish from the exclusive dishes which was even better. Will be trying many other dishes on the menu.

Shapla Indian in Chelmford is a takeaway restaurant. I had a typical Friday night takeaway; tandoori mixed grill, butter chicken, and onion bagees. The mixed grill was tasteless lumps of meat, cooked tandoori style, the butter chicken sauce was not mixed well, and was tasteless, the bagees were oily and over salty. Waste of money!

Can’t give a minus rating unfortunately. Rip off.. 5 small cubes off Paneer Tikka for £4.50 and below average taste. I’ve also ordered curries here on me before and the taste is not authentic, bland, oily. As an Indian looking forward to a restaurant style takeout, thoroughly disappointed, I’d rather spend the time to cook the dish myself. Will definitely NOT be ordering anything here ever again.. On Friday, July 3rd, I decided to order takeout from Shapla. When I arrived, the staff informed me that they were experiencing a power outage, which would delay the service. They kindly offered to deliver my order as soon as the issue was resolved, which I appreciated. Once the food arrived, I was impressed with how delicious it was. The staff were very polite and handled the situation well, despite the unforeseen issue. I will definitely order from Shapla again and would recommend it to others.

Great food and customer service. I placed my order and noticed that UberEats haven’t listed the full menu, so I placed my order and called to query if they did the item and if I could add it to my order. The gentleman couldn’t have been more helpful and the service was so seamless. I will never order an Indian takeaway from anywhere else! Fantastic! They even provided me with a personalised leaflet, letting me know that I can save money by ordering direct, so I’ll certainly be doing this in the future!

Has Something has changed at SHAPLA??..... I think so, and for the good of Moulsham! I ordered about 10 items including 2 mains, 3 sides, onion Bhaji and bread. This is probably the 6th or 7th curry I’ve taken away from here over a few years. I’ve always found it decent but no more. The staff and owners have been friendly a s courteous but the food has never been stand out to me. Until this time..IF THIS IS THE NEW STANDARD COUNT ME IN! There’s a sense of establishment about the place where traditions and skills are passed down to the young lot and so forth. And it feels, from tasting the various dishes that I ordered, that they’ve hit onto good times in the kitchen and throughout. My point... Speisekarte ansehen
