"a half quiet and small restaurant. the eating was quite good and the ambiente was friendly, casual, at home like. the staff was friendly and always busy. a bit too busy to time, as we had to wait a bit too long between the curses and get them to the table, took a few waves. only 2 employees. a beautiful place and I would return."

"hursley needed a decent pub for the years, I found that the competition was a alienating atmosphere and the quality of the food was bad. since hearing the dolphin had new owners I felt that I had to test it, and I must say I am 100% impressed! and I am. said the pub will also be restored in the next months! first I visited with my daughter for a dessert with just us. we were greeted in the pub and our table shown. everything was very clean and my daughter immediately fell in love with the old building and history. the menu included some good clips for children, as we all know that they are with what they eat! eating was amazing! such a high quality and quite expensive. it was made clear to the house and there was no part of it I did not enjoy. the same applies to my daughter who cleaned her teller, and this is rare for her! ben, the manager was warm and friendly and checked for us, but was not intrusive. that can be difficult so I was impressed! the employees were so friendly and very interacting when they spoke to us, they went extra mile to take allergies too. If I were not a native, I would rent one of the rooms they have so that I could eat and drink with a short stolper to bed! if they were not, then they do not wait, the new owners also have the hunters and this is another amazing pub, so it is great to see that they know what they do and use local products and keep the community feeling of the village alive. I would have made more photos of the food, but it was too good to wait for photos! I'll take more when I'm next!"

"We often visit Romsey during the summer for vacation and we discovered The Sun Inn in 2021. Since then, we have returned frequently because we always have delicious meals and encounter friendly staff. We make sure to order something for our dog when we visit and we always have a great time! I would recommend this restaurant to families, including those with children and vegetarians, as there is something for everyone on the menu."

"Great Chinese takeaway with a varied menu which has been consistently good! Since we moved to Romsey in 2012 we've been using the takeaways in the area, and for Chinese food we've found the Madarin Chef hard to beat. In fact when things opened up again post pandemic, our first take-away was from here! The menu is varied and has uk-chinese restaurant staples, together with less common dishes for those who want to go off piste. Where poultry sometimes feels like an unknown quantity quality wise in restaurants, here it has always been great with the Chinese duck tasty and not over dry. Vegetables in dishes don't feel like an afterthought and all in all we really like this place. The fried rice egg, special, etc) is always good and has the right amount of firmness for me as opposed to being made with new steamed rice. The staff are friendly and whilst I always order too much I'd like to say my eyes are bigger than my stomach, but sadly I can't pretend that's the case) that's on me! I love sesame toast but I probably shouldn't eat it all... Thank you to the staff and owners. This is a takeaway review so I can't in any honesty rate on Atmosphere My five stars are to avoid any negative effect). Parking: Lots of parking in front of the restaurant. I've never struggled to find a spot."

"there is always a good feeling for this land pub restaurant. Anyway, they have a pie night. the cakes are excellent with generous portions and great quality. it is so popular that they make 2 seats 6pm and 8pm. they have a large parking lot so there are usually no problems getting a place. also friendly staff and a decent series of ales, if that is their ding."
