I only wish I could dine at this restaurant more frequently. I reached out to them about a month ago to inquire about their vegan options, and they were accommodating.

Lacock is a special place and this restaurant lives up to its reputation. The service is quick and friendly, the food is hot and delicious. Highly recommend. Rating: 5 out of 5 for rooms, service, and location.

My lunch experience was quite disappointing. The risotto lacked seasoning, was tasteless, and overcooked to the point of being mushy. The fish of the day had been fried in heavy oil, and was also lacking in seasoning, resulting in a mostly greasy taste for my dining companion. We were too hungry to send our meals back. It seems that other reviewers have had better experiences, but unfortunately ours was not a good one. It is a pity because the staff and service were lovely, and the building itself was very charming.

The garden where we sat was pretty, a nice setting for Sunday lunch. Lunch was mediocre at best. We weren't offered any water for the table. And when we told staff the roast beef was pretty much inedible as it was so tough we were not even offered an apology, let alone any money off even though it was pretty clear we hadn't eaten most of it. I thought the staff could have been more considerate but barely seemed to care just said they'd tell the chefs! The Sign of the Angel is a wonderful restaurant Hotel in Lacock. Service The service was amazing, the staff were so friendly and welcoming, and made our meal so enjoyable as they were always there to serve us when needed. Food The menu was very well put together and something for everybody. We all ordered something different, I have to say all the food that arrived, was beautifully presented, and hard to pick, as we all had food, envy! Drinks There was a wide range of drinks on the menu for anybody wishing to have an alcoholic drink or something that is non alcoholic.
