Solas - Speisekarte

Everything about Solas was a joy on a wet and windy night. The food and service were both excellent, the price very fair so we couldn't understand why it hadn't more customers!

Had an evening meal here on a Saturday night. The food was delicious and the service was great. Will definitely return when we visit again next year. It was the best meal of our holiday in the Hebrides.

The food at this restaurant was amazing. They were also very accommodating to dietary restrictions. The dishes were absolutely delicious and the service was fantastic. I would highly recommend this place! Speisekarte ansehen

Had 2 meals whilst I stayed there I can recommend the venison and burger. Was disappointed that the monk scampi was not available on both nights. A colleague had the mussels which were plentiful and delightful.

Very good restaurant with refined and elaborate dishes. The portions are rather small of a gastronomic type but as we are not big eaters we were happy with the size of the served dishes. The service was fine. We recommend this establishment with pleasure!

Wir haben hier im Hotel übernachtet und im Restaurant Abendessen eingenommen. Wir waren sehr zufrieden, denn die Speisen und Getränke haben uns sehr geschmeckt. Went to Solas for our Christmas dinner, we were really looking forward to it but have to say we were disappointed. The service was good and the staff were lovely but the portions were tiny! Despite dinner costing over £90 for two of us we went home hungry. We won’t be in a hurry to go back which is a shame as our previous experiences of Solas had been good.

My family and I recently dined at this restaurant while visiting the island. We tried the scallops and langoustines, as well as the black pudding and haddock with cider. All of the dishes were cooked perfectly, with the scallops being particularly sensational. In comparison to another restaurant we visited the night before (Eleven), Solas was definitely a step above. I highly recommend it.

The quality of the food was also subpar. My sirloin steak had gristle in the center and was served with a meager portion of Peppercorn sauce that lacked flavor and was clearly not made fresh. The scallops starter only consisted of two scallops and was overpriced for what was served. Additionally, the service was slow and disjointed, with delays in receiving our drinks and a lack of attentiveness from the staff. Overall, I was highly disappointed with the restaurant. The lack of attention to food safety, inadequate training of the staff, mediocre food quality, poor value for money, and subpar service all contribute to a negative dining experience.
