"It 's such a shame to see this place go down hill. It appears that the original staff before lockdown have all but vanished besides the odd one. As a result the Sun In has now gone from being a great gastro pub to a woo-girl (Google/UD it) eatary and sports bar. I imagine this was perhaps done by the owners to try and bring in a more alcohol friendly audience to combat the less impressive menu. Food was mostly good however one dish served to one of the party contained an ingredient, that was not listed on the menu. We spoke to the new manager who sorted it but our plates were cleared well before the affected party member had finished. Almost provoking a quick turn around time for a modestly filled restaurant/bar area."

The food was exceptional! Our host was fantastic throughout the entire experience and even surprised the birthday girl sitting next to us with a Halloween gift bag, which was a really nice touch.

Was fortunate enough to have my train to Sheffield delayed. In the spare time I found this restaurant on google maps. Delicious food top class service from any of the staff I interacted with. Thanks

The food here is excellent. The Sunday roast was fantastic, featuring a large Yorkshire pudding, extra gravy, and tender meat. The fish and chips were also outstanding; the fish was perfectly cooked—neither dry nor greasy! The staff was very polite as well. Speisekarte ansehen

Five of us dined out for the evening, and we were all extremely pleased! I had the prawn gambas and the rump steak (which was a gluten-free option). The steak was cooked to perfection, just as I requested, and everything else was delicious. The staff were knowledgeable and attentive. It was truly a wonderful experience—thank you!

We visited on a day when the fish was fresh and abundant. The food was outstanding and perfectly cooked. The service was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. Our waiter took the time to answer all our questions thoroughly, and he was charming as well. It was such a delightful experience to dine here! The menu featured a unique special alongside six classic dishes that are often found in other restaurants, which can be quite dull.
