Absolute banging Sunday roast! 8 of us ate and were all left very satisfied. Recommend the pork roast. Lovely!

Beautiful pub and very friendly staff. Note that if you come by car, you need to register your Reg plates so that you will not become hostile.

Had a girls night out at The Alexandra with two friends last Thursday. Food was amazing, very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Lovely selection of gins which was a definite winner!!! Will definitely be returning!! Sarah Norris

My husband and I have been locals to the Alex for many years. The new landlord and Lady have a fabulous menu and all meals we've had in the evening have been delicious. Then last Sunday we tried the roast and it was superb. Great food, warm welcome and lots of entertainment. What more could you ask for!

New landlord and landlord as well as a new menu. Sunday had a little roasted and it was great. Had some of the bar snacks tonight, chicken wings and halloumi fries (massive). Very fab. Good beer, good wine, good prices. Farnborough had cried for decent pub with good food in the city centre. It's good to say it has one now.

The Alex is a great place to pop in for a drink. The local folks are welcoming and the staff are all very nice people. The landlady is one of the most wonderful people I've ever met and can help sort anything that's needed. Beers are average priced for a proper pub. Trivia nights and poker nights are always a fun time. The rooms are fairly basic with a bed, bathroom, and a TV, but the value for money is exceptional. A breakfast basket is dropped every morning. If visiting Farnborough, I definitely recommend a visit.

Popped in for a Sunday roast with no booking. Warm friendly service greeted us both. The quality of the meat was really good. My beef was juicy and succulent and so too was my partner's belly of pork. There was no cracking, as promised in the menu, but it was so good that she did not complain. I found out later, after winning a crown in the meat raffle, that they use Woods Butchers( a highly reputable local butcher). The cauliflower cheese was very good. Very cheesy. However, despite the great presentation of the veg, it did let the meal down. Parsnips were a bit hard and the green beans were a bit rough. Roast potatoes were ok.
