Nice friendly pub with out door tables, darts and tv sports close to river

Drinks nice, service great, but felt shabby, untidy and dirty compared to old owners

We didn't eat , just popped in for a 3) quick pint, Brakspears Oxford gold Gorgeous) Bertie our border was made very welcome. We will be back soon to try the menu

Beautiful pub, amazing staff. Despite it being slightly busy, we were seated and served food within 20 minutes. Will definitely visit again and am very happy with the new management.

Lovely little pub, outside area is great. Staff were fantastic, friendly and very dog friendly. We had a pasty which came very fast was piping hot and was full of flavour, beer was perfect too, obviously they keep their beer well. Speisekarte ansehen

Beautiful old pub, lots of quirky features and decorations. The pub is a stones throw from the river and has a lovely walled garden in the rear. Great selection of local beers and wines, didn't eat but the food that was being served looked and smelt amazing. The landlord and lady were very friendly and accommodating. Would thoroughly recommend for a drink or a bite to eat if in the area

Booked a table for 7.30pm on Wednesday 1st February. Arrived at 7.40pm, due to no fault of our own, as friend had travelled over an hour to join me and got caught in traffic. Told rather bluntly that our booking was cancelled and the chef had gone home as we were late. I repeat, only 10 minutes. The attitude was awful. The place was empty. No wonder. Obviously being kept alive by loyal locals and tourists or drunk regatta attendees. A shame, as I've been frequenting for many years.

We were promised food in 20 mins! It took 1 hr 50 mins, there were 3 tables ahead of us parties of 2/4/6) why does such simple food take that long? Ham and eggs no gf option, so no chips) salad, fish and chips out of a packet and a steak!!! Thank you fir your response but I need to point out that the I have checked the time of payment and it was 1 hr 50 mins and the ‘booked table’ were walk ins your staff told us that and one of them was in front of us at the bar when she asked if you had a free table) lying does not excuse poor service Speisekarte ansehen
