I came for real ale and to maybe chat to random people (being a tourist) and check it out for my family for the next day. but pub is table service only you aren’t allowed to stand or sit at the bar which ruins the atmosphere and chance to ask questions about local area etc etc. very disappointing and won’t be bringing family back. One single policy has cost them £100 of our money. Price per person: £10–20

Love this pub and restaurant. The choices of food for meat eaters and veggie folk is great. The whisky's on offer are awesome. The staff were brilliant too. I wanted to try the haggis and they brought out a small portion for me to try. It was lovely too. If your passing and looking for great food and atmosphere please call and supper them. Fantastic place. Food was lovely, service was quick and friendly, and the atmosphere was relaxing. The interior was really nice and homely, with an open fire. A good selection on the menu with some great classic pub dishes. We had the fish and chips, gourmet steak burger, and the homemade macaroni and cheese. They were all really nice and would recommend any of them. Proper old style pub chips as well! For dessert we had a cinnamon and apple crumble, and a chocolate fudge cake, which again were both very nice. We would definitely come back again if we're in the area and would recommend a visit!
