"We were really looking forward to going to this place as friends had raved about it. I don't know if they were having an off night but it wasn't great!! We were stuck in a back room for 20 minutes and nobody came to take our drinks order or even give us a menu, my husband had to go looking for someone. We were constantly clapping fruit flies. The starters were nice, the main really wasn't. My meal was inedible and my husbands meal was OK but overpriced for what it was. Because we were on our own in the tiny room and just forgotten about most of the night, there was no atmosphere. Bitterly disappointing Our first night out together since having our baby and I can honestly say we won't be returning unfortunately"

We went for the Sunday evening pub quiz. We didn't win but it was well organised and a good range of questions. Beer was JW Lees which was ok but a couple of proper real ales wouldn't go amiss too.

The Sunday lunch was utterly delicious. As I'm vegetarian I didn't have any meat. The roast potatoes were particularly brilliant 10/10. It's always a treat to get stuffing as well. Went for Sunday lunch,Disappointed Veg Potatoes ok but the Beef was way to rare,couldn't cut it was chewy.They did replace meal when I complained but everyone else had finished eating by the time it arrived.Service was slow ,drinks order didn't arrive had to reorder 20minutes later.Also we all left smelling of cooking oil from being sat so close to cooking area an lack of ventilation. Will not be rushing back
