The bread's not bad either, but the brownies are so moist and delicious and huge that 1 is enough for two people. Helpful staff. Closes around noon, so you can't put it off. Speisekarte ansehen

If you are after affortable, clean, well kept rooms with good food and extremely friendly staff then this is a great place for you. I have stayed here several times now and this is my goto place in the area.

We only came in for a few drinks after a walk around Borwick rails . Quite a large pub with a few ales on the pumbs it also sells food with a varied menu the pubs itself is a stones throw away from the train station and the theatre

We stopped in for dinner whilst staying just outside Millom. We had zero expectations and we were all impressed with the food. Nice portion sizes and flavours and quick service, next time we're in town we'd also spend some time in the sports bar area too. Nice place, recommend this highly if you're in Millom. I have only given 1 star for this place, as when we got there, it was closed! Sign on door said it was open for the time we got there (lunch time). We'd walked from Haverigg to stop and have a drink and a cake. Would have loved to have put a better review up. It was not the only shop in the town that was closed thou.

We had booked a hotel in millom and we called in the bear for some food, really dissapointed the chicken burger breast was tough the chips where soggy but hard in the middle, as this was the only pub near the hotel we decided not to stay as didn't want to go back to the pub, inside looks like a cafe , millom is also run down town.

I was searching for a nearby bakery and ended up at a small one that I suspected sourced their products from a larger supplier. It would be beneficial for them to advertise and let customers know that there is a legitimate baker in town. I was hoping to purchase a loaf of authentic bread but was unable to find it there, so I had to go to the local Tesco instead.
