The Black Horse - Speisekarte

A cozy little pub! The staff is very friendly, and the food was quite good. Definitely worth a visit!

The new owners deserve high praise for the transformation of The Black Horse. The food is exceptional, and the atmosphere is fantastic thanks to their warm hospitality. We can't wait to come back!

booked online and the booking was accepted and I received an email confirming the booking, but we drove 45 minutes to get there and found it closed. what a color, not only in the name of the black horse, but open

I called a few days before my booking to confirm they don't eat anymore. it is only a drink that appears to discover that the reason why they do not eat because they have closed. what the guy neglected to mention on the phone. quite shocked communication.

Lovely pub in the centre of the village. The food is always superb, manageress is very accommodating. Staff attentive but not fussy. If you stop in for a pint or 3 course meal you won 't be disappointed. Gorgeous garden to sit in or cosy updated pub feel to welcome you inside and also with ample parking. The Black Horse is a beautiful restaurant with delicious food. The service is also very good. My only feedback would be that Sunday dinner is a bit pricey and the options are somewhat limited. I noticed that other diners received larger portions of meat, and the beef was quite nice. However, I wasn't sure if the vegetables were from the end of the batch during our last visit. If there isn't enough food to serve the expected portion sizes, I would prefer to have the option to choose. I’m not sure if I'll be returning.

Taken to the Black Horse for lunch by my parents-in-law. It was made clear from the outset that it wasn't the sort of place where kids can expect different food, or can run and play in the garden amongst the other clientele. Our kids at 12 and 9 years oldwere made very welcome as were the rest of us and we had a lovely meal. The highlights were the all day breakfast starter and my son is insistent that I write that his sirloin steak was excellent too. However all the food was good, the staff attentive and friendly. Cant fault it and will be back. I hope they do very well.

Most enjoyable meal we have had in a long time! We saw the black horse on instagram and decided to check it out. The new owners have really made this pub into a 'destination ' pub. There 's a relaxed, up-market vibe to the place and the food is outstanding! The owners are up front of house and they are friendly and tentative. We were out for a family meal but we both have said can 't wait to go back and have a proper date night! It 's 'posh nosh ' without the stiff, formal atmosphere that often accompanies this kind of dining (having said this, you could easily dress up and go for a date and not feel out of place) We had the crab, the carpaccio and the scallops- all utterly delicious!
