I had the fish and chips as well as the fish pie, and both were exceptional. I also tried the charcuterie board, which was average. Overall, this place is delicious and has a cozy atmosphere. It's a must-visit when you're in town. Price per person: £20–30.

Great pub on the bank of the river! Very chilled, we visited on a Friday lunch time and there were hardly any people around. Just what was needed. Food was delicious huge piece of perfectly cooked cod and the fishcakes were very good! Good selection of beer too. Great location for walkers, easy access to the river bank walk. I visited this restaurant twice and was not disappointed either time. The staff went above and beyond to assist us, clearly explaining the ingredients, especially if there were any spices or chili involved. The people were friendly and welcoming. They even brought out a dessert with candles for my son's birthday. However, the food itself wasn't as great as I had hoped. Despite that, I would definitely return. It was a lovely atmosphere where you could sit back, relax, and not feel rushed. If you're looking for a quick meal, this might not be the place for you, as the food is made fresh, which can lead to longer wait times, especially during busy periods.
