Great location, smart, clean accommodation, good beer, great wine choice and good food. But the thing that really makes The Castle is the attitude of the people working there. We had a wonderful lunch here. From the moment we walked through the door and were greeted with such a warm welcome, to the attentive service to the faultless food! Great place to meet up with 3 generations to celebrate a family birthday. Rooms: Boutique Nearby activities: Part of the Jurassic coast walk. Water sports in the bay. Just passing. Again..... Going too Swanage for a cup of tea And the troughs are in need of a drink. The forecourt too any establishment is their shop window. Be koning you inside. So quench their thirst ,and attract more customers. That is why I gave three . And noticed the lovely hanging baskets . And the aqua blue flowered in the, Butcombe brewing trough. Being a son of a gardener who carried on in his dad's muddy footprints. Haven't come across it before...x So I give them eleven out of ten for their show.. Location: 5

A very enjoyable one night stay, all the staff were lovely, polite, helpful and attentive. Our room was very nicely decorated and fitted out with some nice touches: cafetiere/fresh milk, water, cookie biscuits in a jar and some very nice bathroom products. All very sustainably packaged. The evening food was delicious as was the very substantial and extremely tasty breakfast. Will certainly stay again. Fantastic! Our stay at The Castle Inn was exactly what I 'd hoped it would be a cosy couple of nights in a beautifully presented, characterful old hotel, in a wonderful location. For this occasion I wanted something a bit 'special ' and thanks to the wonderful food, the beautiful setting and the special care and attention of the staff, 'special ' is exactly what I got. Loved every minute and certainly intending to go back! Rooms: Beautifully presented, very comfortable a really characterful building obviously with tons of history. The Inn is very old so beware some low ceilings/windows and some uneven floors. 'Dungy Head ' room was quite small but fine for two nights and bigger rooms are ava... Speisekarte ansehen
