"We always enjoy going to vintage inns and have visited many but this one is very disappointing not clean or welcoming no service whatsoever even though there was only one other customer dinning and two having drinks. We paid and used our share holder discount and then spoke to the waitress to no avail. Perhaps you should send them all to the Talbot in Biddulph everyone there is wonderful."

Just want to thank Miguel and Jack for their efforts to make my Mum's birthday family meal such a success. The food was great, served just as we ordered it (via the app., thanks Tib), and they even turned the speaker down in our area so we could talk. Top pub and top blokes. Thank you.

A fabulous pub restaurant to chill out at. Lovely location. Food was gorgeous,service By Miguel was exceptional. Attentive without being in your face. We decided to dine here rather than at our hotel and so glad we did a really nice evening with fab food service and ambiance. Would Definitely recommend you come and give it a try.... "On a Saturday morning, we chose to have breakfast at this lovely cafe in the equally lovely small town of Bollington. When we arrived just after opening at 9.30am, things were already busy. Clearly a popular place. The menu contained several options we would have loved to order how to narrow it down? In the end we each chose one of the pancake options. Yes, there are even four different pancake options to choose from. The first treat was when the coffees arrived. I had asked for a double shot blackberry coffee in a flat white cup, and my coffee was both a good strength and properly hot. They had done a great job of properly heating the cup, which makes such a difference. And then the pancakes came out, a feast for the eyes. We also liked that when we asked for tap water, we were provided with glasses and a bottle of water rather than a tiny glass of water each, as can be the case in these parts.The cafe space itself is very pleasant downstairs on a corner in a row of stone cottages, with an outlook across the narrow street to stone cottages on the other side. It’s a shame there are cars parked along the street, somewhat ruining the view. And on that subject, there is a free carpark at the top of the street. We followed up our breakfast with a walk up White Nancy and then back along the canal. A very pleasant trip."

"Looking for a decent ale having been unsuccessful earlier in the evening, my neighbour suggested here. Known locally as a good pub for drinkers. For a wet evening, midweek, the place was quite full and we got a couple of seats around the corner, away...from the main bar. The decor isn't great but you come here to drink I guess. The extensive beer mat collection above the bar is a nice touch. Little glasses of beer next to the pumps and went for the darkest that wasn't a Porter, Barnsley something. As I'd had a girlfriend from Barnsley once, I gave it a try! It was OK, better than the Golden Hen' I'd had earlier. We struggle to find somewhere in Macc that serves good cask ale but this is one of the best. My friend John who used to run Porters was helping behind the bar, if only he was still there, that was a great pub."

"We were staying in Prestbury for a wedding so decided to make a weekend of it and celebrate our own wedding anniversary as well we booked in on Friday night. We were originally seated inside but asked to move to the semi outside area and that was no trouble for the staff they were more than happy to accommodate us. The waitress were excellent, very helpful with the menu and friendly. Olga was our main server and she was just fab... we all loved her. In our opinion all restaurant should have servers like her. For starters we had a mixed fish platter although it said for 2 it easily feed 3 of us and we also had 1 portion of calamari, for the mains we had a pizza, Pan Roasted Salmon, lasagna and Roast Pork Fillet Stuffed with Spinach all flippin gorgeous! the wine, again very good and a good choice. We were all too full for a dessert but I was I wasn't as I think I would have wanted to try each one on the menu! Really couldn't recommend this restaurant highly enough."

"Came on Saturday night with a friend, the food was good (it has been better before) the service was a bit odd, it wasn't mega busy but all the waitresses seem extremely rushed off their feet and it took longer than necessary to get drinks. We ordered sparkling water and it came in the glass rather than bottle, and we were then charge £2.50 for it. We were sat near the door to the kitchen downstairs with the smell of smoke wafting up. The waitress walked into my chair at least 4 times as she was rushing past and the bathroom was dirty. For a small place the acoustics are very bad and its extremely loud in the back room. Will come back and try again as maybe we just went on an off day!"
