Another lovely meal at the Cross hands , even though the friendly staff were rushed off their feet , the food was great.

only about a five minute drive from our house, the cross hands is always our 'go to' for a treat...big eating, atmosphere, prices and friendly staff

Very nice pub /hotel. Extensive menu with a lot of choice at reasonable prices. Food was very nice and plenty of it. Very polite, professional staff with very good communication and customer skills. Plenty of room in the car park which is free. Well worth a try for a meet up with friends e family.

A lovely place to eat. The food was fresh, hot and well prepared. The prices are very competitive. I could have used a few more mushrooms as the starter, but I eat a lot and am not complaining for price. Main course more than made up for it, superb chicken and gammon in the Hunter's Chicken. Beautiful hotel/restaurant/pub, decent prices for excellent food, Different areas of the pub have different feels with the small sofa nook to the lounge area and up in to the large open room toward the top of the pub. Food and service were excellent and our food came fairly quickly and was delicious. The staff were polite and friendly and special mention to the lovely lady Jo who was friendly and funny and lovely to chat to. This is our new favorite pub.

very impressive Christmas meal with friends 9 December. all beautifully cooked and the environment and the meals were beautifully presented. delicious creamy pate, lots of everything for the Turkey dinner (not with the vege like other places) and perfect bratkartoffeln. the apples in the crumb were a bit on the crispy side, but the rest was good. we would like to have offered drinks when we waited for our friend to join us, but the service was good different. would definitely recommend. please send us our thanks to the cook.

really helpful, friendly staff. great selection of food to fit any bag. had a brilliant college reunion weekend. simple location to find and find. great value and very accommodating. had a living room close to the bar where we could collect, and a separate dining room that we could use and decorate. more wonderful place I would recommend. only light nigger is that the phones need to be manned more frequently. I can't praise the place high enough! Finally, they have a group of 12 very rough, loud, 50 little women without hitting an eyelid!
