The Crown Country Inn

Our dog was made very welcome. We had a Sunday roast which was very good. The roast beef slices were almost steak size in thickness.

We're holidaying at haven and had the pleasure of coming across the crown. The food is amazingly cooked reasonably priced and generous portions.

Did not eat, but the menu looked appetizing. Good self tion of beers and spirits. Staff a bit distance until a few drinks with the licencee and chef, soon warmed. Speisekarte ansehen

Nipped in to the Crown on Sunday evening, both the food and service was fantastic, steaks were cooked to perfection and the steak pie was packed with chunky steak. We will be back very soon. Thank you!

We tried the Hunter's Chicken and the Smoked Haddock and both dishes were generous and delicious. We will definitely return happily and would gladly recommend this restaurant. The service was fast and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Stayed overnight at this lovely pub as we were doing the Predator Experience down the road the next morning. Lovely little pub so friendly. Dave the owner was the perfect host and the food was absolutely lovely. If I am down that neck of the woods again, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here

Visited on Friday evening so a supper after a long drive to the Lakes...and we were not disappointed! Very cosy pub, roaring fire and good choose of beer. I had the Gammon steak and it was huge! Delicious meat and very generous portion of home made chips. Sticky toffee pudding was amazing too. Friendly service, wiĺl return!

We had a fantastic experience at this charming, untouched pub where four adults and a dog were well looked after. The pub is hidden away from the main road but conveniently located near Grange over Sands to the south and Windermere to the north. The food was excellent, with fish and chips that could make you forget about any recent disappointments, and a pie filled with delicious beef, gravy, and a flaky crust. Overall, it was a great dining experience and we highly recommend visiting if you're in the Cartmel area and looking for a change of pace from the more upscale atmosphere.
