"I would like to start my review on my first time at the Crown in the greeting when we first arrived was good evening sir and madam this was from the manager who wore a suit with shirt and tie, shown to our table...introduced to our waitress for the evening who was well presented in a smart white blouse and black skirt, the food was top notch and the service was excellent. Now let's review my last visit in the greeting hi guys can I get you some drinks we looked at the menu and ordered our food from our table server who was in a creased polo shirt black Jean's and white trainers, my wife wanted the chicken ceasar salad but asked for the anchovies to be left out, food arrived well presented but the ceasar salad had no dressing on it so we asked for the dressing but apparently the dressing is with the anchovies so if you remove the anchovies you lose the dressing, being from a catering background I found this to accept but was told no separate dressing now what sort of kitchen does not have any kind of dressing I will tell you it's the crown st Blandford, my side dish of broccoli with cheese and garlic was missed off so arrived late, when you read on a menu broccoli with cheese and garlic I would expect it to be like a cauliflower cheese but no it's just broccoli with with some parmesan shaken on it. What did surprise me is that the manager was in Jean's and an opened neck shirt, this casual look obviously reflects on the casual way the staff work. The Crown used to be the flagship of the brewery but alas this is not the case now."

Stopped here mid bike ride. Ate in the pub side. Staff friendly, food good. Ordered a French Revolution , nicest cocktail I 've had for a while, recommend! Great atmosphere, busy but not too busy.

Great outside space with plenty of tables and parasols for those that want shade. Very busy but relaxed atmosphere throughout. Really enjoyed the food which was good value and reasonable portion sizes. The garden is a sun trap in the afternoon. Plenty of parking on site.

bier excellent. good choice. the staff is very polite. the pub was very clean. had a cheesy chips snack. 7 chips and about a handcrafted single cheese melted for £ 7, which was badly worth for money. cant comment on netzen as 8 of us all ordered the same snack and were a bit gobsmacked on the skurimpy amount.

We always enjoy spending one or two nights at this restaurant. The ambiance is beautiful and everything from the room, bar, dining experience, and service are of a very high standard. We highly recommend staying here. We especially love the large copper bathtub and spacious rooms. We are already looking forward to returning soon.

Popped in earlier in the day for a coffee saw some of the food coming out to the patio area and decided to have our evening meal at The Crown. The dining room was closed so we ate in the bar I had the...steak pie, creamy mash and red cabbage, it was delicious. My wife who has a gluten-free diet had the flat iron steak with triple cooked chips it was excellent.

Yet another disappointing visit to the Crown. Two ales on hand pull. Nothing even vaguely interesting or seasonal. If you want a really unimaginative pint of bog standard beer, you're ok, but for a pub that is yards from the brewery, the lack of...range of ales is embarrassing. This flagship pub appears symptomatic of a brewery that is rapidly getting left behind.

This hotel is elegant and steeped in history, making it a hidden gem in my opinion. Our family room was comfortable with modern decor that still captured the essence of the past. The Brasserie-style restaurant offered delicious food of decent quality. The breakfast spread was generous and diverse. Additionally, the hotel is pet-friendly. Be sure to keep an eye out for unique details like the hidden sink and the spiral staircase.

We were in Blandford Forum on a Sunday afternoon and decided to stop here for dinner. The venue was absolutely gorgeous with a lovely atmosphere that wasn't too loud, perfect for enjoying a conversation. There was plenty of seating both inside and outside, and the food was fantastic. We tried the vegetarian nut roast and the Sunday roast option, and honestly, it was better than many meat-based Sunday roasts I've had! The staff were also very friendly. Overall, it was definitely worth a visit.

Having eaten well the night before, we were looking for a light lunch, which the Crown supplied. In a large and not overcrowded bar area we were invited to order at the bar having selected our dishes. I decided on a prawn cocktail and a...scotch egg. My wife had butternut humus and a scotch egg. The eggs were truly delightful, crisp and tasty with a mustard mayonnaise. The hummus went down well, but my prawn cocktail had only prawns in it which worked out at nearly a prawn! That said I ordered one plate of bread and when arrived I didn’t make a fuss,, but when it came to paying the excellent bar staff noticed I was going to charged for plates and subtracted the cost of one plate without prom...

"The Museum Inn, located in Farnham, Nr. Blandford Forum, Dorset, DT11 8DE We booked late on Friday night and only one room was available so it was meant to be! We arrived around 5pm and were greeted by friendly staff, shown to our room The Catch and made a reservation for dinner, luckily they still had spaces for dinner but it is advised to book in advance. Lovely spacious room and bathroom, kettle, teas, coffees and bottled water supplied. I have to say I fell in love with the hand wash and hand cream, I have already purchased some for home, the brand is called Bramley and the scent is Lavender, Geranium and Petitgrain. The bed is probably the most comfortable we have ever slept in that is not our own, soft feather pillows that were just right! Dinner was a three course meal and it was delicious, we took 2 hours to eat but never felt rushed or like we were waiting too long between courses. Starters: Ham hock terrine with sourdough toast and Prawn, potato and crayfish fishcakes. Mains: Burger and Steak Ale pie Desserts: Chocolate Brownie with cherry sorbet. Biscoff donuts with pumpkin pie ice cream Drinks: Poretti lager and Cherry cocktail. Breakfast: Eggs Royale and Smashed avocado, poached egg and bacon, absolutely scrumilicious! Big thanks to Amanda who served us this morning and checked us out. Highly recommend staying and eating here and we will 100% be back again! Safe travels! The Allsebrooks x"
