Great food, drinks, hospitality and the Devon welcome that’s hard to describe. Had an amazing Sunday lunch for 8 plus 2 children. We were celebrating our sons birthday. It was perfect!

Superb country pub with a Great b b , the room was large , airy , nicely decorated with a huge comfy bed lovely en suite , spotlessly clean , Lovely hosts , great value , you really couldn’t ask for more

Superb traditional village based Devon inn that has been very well renovated including excellent accommodation plus first class food, great range of local beers hosts that play cribbage. What more is there? Going back. Speisekarte ansehen

Absolutely lovely pub dinner. My dad and I came for fish and chips on a Monday night. Really friendly welcome, great Guinness and beautiful fish, chips, peas and onion rings. Lovely light batter and gorgeous fish. Really tasty ice cream for dessert. Super friendly couple running a proper village pub.

Hadn’t been to this venue since new owners took over and pleased to say we will definitely be going again. Lovely helpful staff, very good food and wonderful atmosphere. We went on a Wednesday which was steak night, steaks were perfectly cooked and our two dogs were comfortably curled up in front of the fire

Great looking pub the waitresses were lovely. The meal was nice but the beef was very tough and those that had it took most of it home for their dog. We did have a problem with the menu and unfortunately this was not dealt with as we would have liked which did ruin the evening a little. Could have been more helpful. Speisekarte ansehen

We recently spent two nights at the pub and just arrived home. The pub, owned by Sue, Mark, and Georgia, is a cozy and inviting family-run establishment. The food was excellent and there was a wide selection of drinks available. We will definitely return, if only for the friendly atmosphere and delicious fried bread.

We had a wonderful experience at this pub. Sue and Mark were extremely accommodating with our temporary dietary needs and served us a delicious evening meal. The atmosphere of the pub was excellent, and it was heartening to see both locals and visitors supporting it. The pub is also very welcoming to dogs. I visited this evening with some friends for a long overdue catch up. Staff were very welcoming, lovely atmosphere. Very friendly locals. The food was really good, 8 guys all ate well and everyone enjoyed their meals. Clearly, thought has been given to using local suppliers and the menu offered a good selection so everyone was happy. Good selection of beers on tap including the local ale brewed in Ilfracombe Beach Blond. I was offered a sample and over the evening enjoyed a few. So pleased not to be the designated driver.
