The Deacon - Speisekarte

We made an early evening reservation at this restaurant. We enjoyed our meal and found a good selection on the menu. It was great to sit and watch the world go by.

absolutely fantastic experience. eating was delicious from starter to dessert. the selection of drinks is very good, the employees are the right amount of attention without being in their face.

I went to this restaurant with my two young children this afternoon. I ordered the burger and my partner had the beef Sunday dinner - both dishes were excellent. The staff were attentive and the venue was lovely.

Attractive decor and bar area, with good food and attentive service, but a little expensive. The west facing conservatory could do with some ventilation it was a little airless. However, there is plenty of outdoor seating! Overall, recommended.

Third visit to the Deacon restaurant in Lytham. Cannot fault it. We all enjoyed our meals, the service and the atmosphere. I had Cajun salmon salad followed by chocolate fondue with fruit and marshmallows, both courses were delicious. Highly recommended venue.

I went to this restaurant for a quick lunch on a gloomy day in February and it was fantastic. I ordered Moroccan lentil soup with spinach toast, smoked shell risotto, and mac and cheese. The dishes were hearty but also very well executed. The staff was really friendly and the overall experience was great. Highly recommend.

Booked last minute and had an amazing Sunday roast. Absolutely delicious food, but very disappointed to see they'd charged us £2 per person for gravy!!! Never had a Sunday roast without gravy, so gobsmacked to see it on the bill. The menu states the roast comes with all the usuals plus gravy so queried the bill and got the gravy charge removed. I feel like they add it to the bill hoping it won't be challenged. So thought it was worth a mention on here.

The fish batter was terrible, it was pale, soggy, and tasted like flour. The kitchen attributed it to a new batter, but no kitchen should serve such poor quality fish for £18. The peas were hard and dry. The manager was helpful in offering a refund for the meal, but that didn't make up for the fact that we had gone for a nice lunch. If a restaurant can't serve good fish and chips, there's a problem. Overall, this place was well below average and we won't be returning.

This is a great place for drinks with a beautifully presented interior and a relaxed atmosphere. Located in Lytham, right off the main road, they pride themselves on using ingredients sourced within a 30-mile radius. The beer-battered fish and chips were delicious, with crispy chips, fluffy haddock, homemade tartar sauce, and a tasty Thai-style curry sauce. The American IPA was exceptional. The clean toilets and wheelchair-accessible facilities were a plus, and the friendly staff added to the overall experience. They offer a 2-course option for £20, and while the prices are on the higher side, the quality of the food makes it worth it. Live music is also available on weekends.
