2 star for friendly staff only. Went here as good reviews with dogs. Charged £2.35 for 1.5 slices of turkey for a dog which arrived cold. Waited 40 minutes for 2 starters, half of which were burnt. Sundae was in a coffee glass nor as big as a sundae glass. Overall not impressed

I received a wonderful welcome upon arrival, feeling extremely welcomed and well taken care of. We were quickly seated and served our drinks. The food arrived shortly after we ordered, beautifully presented and incredibly tasty. The atmosphere was lively, enhanced by a fantastic singer entertaining us. Overall, it was a really enjoyable night out.

The service was excellent! The staff were very welcoming and cheerful, even though it was quite busy. However, our food arrived about 45 minutes after placing the order. The reason for my lower rating is that they were out of steak and chicken, and the carvery only had gammon available. Our server, Richard, was incredibly friendly and made a point to check on us several times to see if we needed anything. He truly is an asset to the restaurant. The place was immaculate—no sticky tables like you might find in other venues; everything was spotless. It's hard to understand why it wasn't busier, as it really is a hidden gem. We will definitely be returning and will recommend it to our friends!

This is a cozy pub with excellent staff. During my two-week stay, Amanda ensured that everything was cheerful and focused on customer satisfaction. She went above and beyond to make my experience enjoyable. I've dined here every night, and the food has been consistently good, complemented by a warm and friendly welcome. Amanda also helped me with various local inquiries, and I truly appreciated her assistance. The entire staff is hardworking and very accommodating.

I must say that this was our first visit and it will not be our last! the personal could not have been more attentive, polite, helpful the whole experience was first class! the ambiente was excellent, the spatialities were untouched. I am uncertain what more superlative I could give to be truly? it was an experience that surpassed our expectations, so a huge amount of praise to the workers who created this excellent environment! ps. the broth mushrooms were beautiful! In my reviews I do try to be as honest as possible. The staff were friendly and the place was nice enough but their steak was underwhelming and disappointing. The peas didn't have any butter or anything and the salad didn't come with dressing and I found it rather bland. However, the fish and chips was excellent nice soft succulent fish and crunchy batter. Overall a nice enough place for a pint and some grub but I wouldn't go back, or if I do end up back there would order the fish and not a steak.

Previously Dragonfly, The King Brychan provides many of the same meals but done wonderfully. Absolutely great steak and chips, the chips were fresh and perfectly done, the steak was the best pub steak I've ever had. The peas were extremely fresh. The carvery on offer looked, smelt and tasted amazing. Now you have the ability to order on the app whenever you visit instead of going up to the bar which was nice, no need to leave the table while drinks and food are brought over. I couldn't fault the place personally.

Then, just a few nights ago, we returned for my son's birthday, and the experience was just as wonderful. The lady at the bar greeted us with a friendly smile and engaging conversation, making for a warm welcome. Our server, Richard, was an absolute star! My son wanted a milkshake that they usually don't offer, but Richard personally went out of his way to make one for him, which delighted my little boy. We brought a cake with us, and Richard even brought it out with lit candles while singing "Happy Birthday" to my son, both in Welsh and English. It was such a sweet gesture, and my son was overjoyed!
