"We are locals but the first time eating here. Typical pub, a little run down and tired decor. Sticky table, my arms at the elbows were sticky after. Yuck. We had the “fleur burgers” with chips. They were nothing to write home about. A good amount of meat, but cheap tasting and gristly. The chips were underdone and mealy. For dessert we shared a strawberry shortcake, again, cheaply made of two hard shortbread biscuits with runny cream in between and a total of about 4 strawberries on top. Hard to eat with a fork, all the cream just squeezed out. Would have preferred the scone-like version of shortcake version as that would feel more like a dessert, and certainly for the middle to have some strawberries . It was just a few biscuits with cream, not worth the £5. Overall, we came away disappointed at spending £50 on two average, if not poor, meals. There are definitely better places to eat in sandwich. Always happy to eat at Namaste or The Bell (similar food, similar price, much better quality and feels a treat). Won’t be eating here again."

We hosted our retirement afternoon tea at the fleur this afternoon, all the staff were so friendly and helpful, the cakes were amazing and plentiful, all our guests had a lovely time Thank you so much xx

Met up with a friend who lives in the village. What a great recommendation. Popcorn shrimp followed by possibly the best priced and quality Rump Steak. For less than £15 it was an amazing piece of meat. Recommended. Speisekarte ansehen

Not impressed. Meals came plated. Very mezgre. One slice of carot I piece of parsnip. Tiny floret of brocoli. No apple sauce or horseradish. Puddings were a slice of strange tart. Not what we were expecting at all.. Very disappointed

We have just enjoyed a lovely meal here, family of 7, the staff were just amazing so friendly and nothing was to much trouble, food was lovely, great portion sizes, brilliant gluten free choices which is great for me being a coeliac. Would highly recommend and will definitely be re visiting soon.
