Sorry to hear this place closed down, we had a nice lunch here a couple of months ago. Good luck to all those involved and be proud of what you achieved here :

Food fabulous, service so seamless... and wonderful to see Chef behind the pass, what a treat! But wish he had been able to continue with such an amazing restaurant.

Excellent food and wonderful service. A beautiful environment for a relaxed and stress free meal. Looking forward to coming back in the summer to experience the beautiful outdoor seating too.

To transform a pub in a small village to a Michelin rated restaurant in such a small space of time with the pandemic is nothing short of outstanding. We had a great evening and overnight at the pub. Hats off to Mark and...

Sharon and her team, the new Licensee, greeted us warmly at this village pub. It was great to see the place coming back to life after the previous owner's mismanagement. The beer was well kept and the food was delicious. I highly recommend a visit. Speisekarte ansehen

Just visited the fox inn for dinner. Really lovely and friendly service. Fairly small menu but with choices for different diets including vegan. Food was delicious and very reasonable. Don’t be put off by websites saying it is closed. It is recently reopened and definitely worth a visit.

We braved the terrible rainy weather in March to make our way from our hotel to this quaint little pub located in a remote area. Despite the long wait, the pies we had heard so much about did not disappoint. The steak and kidney, as well as the steak and ale pies, were both fantastic and came with a generous portion of green vegetables and fries. The small but friendly staff did a great job of serving us.

Whilst everybody seems to rave about Mark Hix and his London priced mediocre food and badly kept beer, they have lost sight of the fact that in his short tenure, he has destroyed one of the best village pubs in Dorset. To those who say that it's the best meal they ever had, I would say Living on a diet of junk food and takeaways doesn't necessarily make you a good judge of culinary standards. Shame on you Mark Hix.
