"I went there again, for the first time post Brexit. The booking process was friendly and accurate with a couple of our favourites on Offer. Of the of us five, pre-ordered Liver and Bacon and the others had Steak and Kidney Pudding . We...were cordially greeted, by Dave the ever friendly licensee and Lorna and Karin as the waitress and cook also welcomed us. Drinks were efficiently served Our member had an excellent and generous portion of whitebait and well garnished with salad and bread and butter. It looked great. Our meals all had that Wow' factor. My Steak and Kidney Pudding was absolutely perfect in every respect and the others' Liver and Bacon was a feast. the accompanying dishes of vegetables were delicious and beautifully served. Replete we all had a very good cup of coffee and all had a great meal. We will be back as soon as possible and were made very welcome"

"So pleased we found this pub! The service was friendly and welcoming, the garden is well kept and shady in places BUT the food was absolutely delicious!! I really wanted to have a salad but didn't fancy the 2 on the menu as don't eat meat, on request I had a salad with falafel and it was to die for, that dressing of nettles, ginger and lime was so good. My plate was pilled high with a large selection of Very fresh veg and I enjoyed every bite. My husband had fish and he couldn't get it into his month fast enough, it was so good : We enjoyed it so much we went back 2 days later, I had the same salad (of course and my husband tried your sausages which he said were top quality, our Westie had a bit and he also agreed. Well done to you all for such great food, service and atmosphere. We will be back!"

"I am so glad I finally managed to visit the Green Yard. I am normally in Bridport too early to come here (they open at 9am) but today I was a bit later. After this experience I am wishing I had stayed in bed a bit longer before all my other trips to Bridport! It is slightly off the beaten track, tucked up a side road from the main street but worth hunting down you will not be disapointed. I had scrambled eggs on toast with bacon and a 'cup ' of tea. You might think scrambled eggs are easy enough to do but so many places overcook them. Not here though; they were beautifully cooked, fresh and hot, slightly soft and a good sized portion too. The portion of bacon was equally generous. As for the 'cup ' of tea, I was presented with a huge teapot complete with at least 3 tea bags. Compare that to the tiny pots or cups you get in most places. The bill was more than reasonable, the staff, especially the owner, are friendly and efficient. I really cannot fault this place. It will be my go to place in Bridport from now on."

"The service was unfriendly and unhelpful. The atmosphere was decent, but the loud music from the kitchen was disruptive. The restaurant could use some improvements. However, the food was mostly good, except for the tasteless sauce on the linguine de mar. The fish was cooked well. I used a finger bowl for my starter of mussels and was asked to reuse it for my main course, which I found unhygienic. It is just a bowl of water with lemon - they should change it. We would not return. There is a paid car park opposite the restaurant, but it was full when we arrived due to market day. Perhaps on another day, there would be free parking available."
