The Hanover - Speisekarte

Hadn’t been here for a while, came with friends last night . I ordered a pizza, bit dubious about ordering pizza in non Italian place , but it was quite tasty . I had the Florentina . Good service and nice decor . Quite pricey for what your having though.

I went here today for lunch with 8 friends .. the food was delicious .. i had the tex mex burger with salad, chips, coleslaw and guacamole .. very very good ... just a couple of quibbles ... chopping boards instead of plates (my chips kept falling off) and cheap mayonnaise in Hellmanns bottles ..

A good fun pub with a big food menu. We did find it confusing that everything containing Gluten was marked with a G, as everywhere else does the opposite. Not a great GF selection if you don't want a pizza. On separate occasions we have had great roast dinners and evening meals, although open mic night is far too loud! Speisekarte ansehen

We ordered the roast turkey, and while the meat and potatoes were decent, the gravy, vegetables, and Yorkshire pudding were disappointing. The vegetables and gravy tasted like they had been cooked in vinegar, and the Yorkshire pudding seemed stale. It's not easy to mess up a Sunday roast, but Hanover managed to do so. I don't think we'll be returning anytime soon.

4 adults and a toddler dinner out at The Hanover, Queens Park Road Brighton. 3 of us opted for a sirloin steak with home cut chips, a lovely mixed salad, onion rings and peppercorn or butter sauce while my son had a massive burger meal with chips and salad plus a 2 course child special of pasta then ice cream. The meal was lovely, steaks cooked as ordered and lovely and tender. Would definitely recommend the food and service was excellent.

We went here for Sunday roast. The pub itself us nice and staff are lovely. But the food was not great . I would never go here again for a meal unless it was a pizza. My son had pizza which was very nice and tasty. The roast was colld. Beef I couldn't eat. Potatoes cold and more like boiled. Yorkshire very greasy. Gravy cold too. We waited very long for food. The chef is either over worked or must have been pissed to make such a poor meal. Speisekarte ansehen

We had Christmas Dinner here and it was superb. From the starters to the mince pies, all the food was excellent. Delicious pate, soup and prawns, tender beef, gammon and turkey with cauliflower cheese, roasties and veg, sticky toffee pudding, ice cream, brownies, brandy snaps, homemade custard, and finally mince pies!!! The tables were beautifully decorated and the atmosphere was terrific. The hosting and serving was brilliant. We had a great time and could not fault it.

I frequently visit this restaurant alone or with a friend, and I have been working my way through the menu. So far, everything has been delicious, especially the pizza, burger, and roast. The student and NHS discount is a nice touch, and the staff are friendly. It is a local, traditional pub with no gimmicks, lots of space, and a comfortable atmosphere for a solo woman. I have taken my grandchildren here, and they have a nice menu for kids. Overall, it is very child-friendly.

I am amazed to see any negative reviews about the food at this restaurant on this site. While children can be a bit of a nuisance, especially when their parents let them run wild, the food for adults at this restaurant is top-notch. I have always thought their pizzas were the best in Brighton, if not everywhere. Recently, I went there for Sunday roast with a group of friends and it was absolutely fantastic. The portions were huge - I felt like I had half a cow on my plate! The mixed meat roast was also delicious and the vegetables were plentiful. Despite being tempted by the dessert menu, we were all too full to indulge. The drinks were a bit pricey for a non-city center restaurant, but the... Speisekarte ansehen
