The food was absolutely lovely, staff were very helpful go there a lot, lovely place

very friendly place and excellent carvery. the desert car was just upstairs. I actually go back for it.

We are all nurses from Torbay hospital, we had a delicious Christmas lunch with great service. The chef even managed to scrape together a carvery for colleagues that had to work. Thank you x

Nice place, very courteous staff and amazing food! Carvery is always amazing, roasted potatoes and vegetables perfectly cooked! Burger was also a hit with our son. We also tried children fish fingers and chicken nuggets that were also beautiful! Calamari and mussels were the best we had in Britain! Thank you for the beautiful experience! Five stars for food and courtesy! Best meal!

My sister took me here for lunch for a treat to cheer me up as I've just had a operation for breast cancer ,I ordered the club sandwich but didn't fancy turkey ,so I explained I fancied chicken bacon and the young lady serving was really helpful and said she would ask ,it was no problem!! Excellent service and food was lush far too much for me thou ! I had lots of carverys here and it is always fantastic !!!

Absolutely first-class service. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. We got a meat package for the dog that was quite significant. We asked for a knife, a cream and a plate, as we took our own birthday cake and they gave us everything. The Carvery was excellent and there was a good choice of meat and vegetables. We'll definitely visit again when we're in the area. Thank you to all for a great meal that completes our celebrations.

What a fantastic meal. The breaded whitebait starter with lemon mayonnaise was plentiful and delicious, my husband enjoyed his prawn cocktail and had already started demolishing it when I took the photo. Carvery was so tasty. We don't live near here, however if we did we would slowly make our way through the menu as there was so much choice that sounded tempting. We were too full for dessert but enjoyed eyeing up those that went past to other tables. It was obviously very busy but the staff were great, they calmly dealt with a rude customer on the table next to ours, service with a smile all the way.

My family, which I have ruled for 30 years, we have never been disappointed by food or service. Your Carvery always has a selection of meat from local farms the range of fresh vegetables is great. You can also, if you prefer, choose an article from your A La Carte Menu Swap the pages that usually accompany the court, with karvery veg. Her sweet Trolley hot powders are also great. UPDATE March 2023 We have been twice recently. Since one of the main chefs has gone, the standard of meaty vegetables has unfortunately declined. Wow, this place is simply amazing. I just arrived after a 42 hour trip and my friend took me here for dinner. We made the choice to have a a roast meal. There was roast beef, turnkey and pork. I had the beef and turkey and it was perfect. The choice of veg was fantastic. Veg with cheese sauce, carrot, turnip etc. typical English which I am and was yummy!
