Pointless going unless reserved. For a family on holiday not knowing the area and hungry. Not happy at all.

Our favourite for a Sunday carvery! Absolutely delicious. A lovely pub restaurant, good prices, good portion sizes from the menu also, great food and friendly staff.

Service was exceptional, Bar Staff were attentive towards our needs, food was Amazing, Fish (Whale) and Chips and the plated Roast (with Homemade Yorkies) nothing wrong with anything, looking forward to going again

Welcoming and clean with a good range of food on offer. Finding a table was no problem. The beef chilli con carne was a generous portion and really tasty. The breakfast was again a generous portion, non greasy and full of flavour. Would highly recommend a pit stop here

Came here for a Sunday roast, food was ok but to me it was an average Sunday dinner that you would get at any chain pub. Unfortunately desert was worse.. I ordered a chocolate orange melt that they must have frozen as although it was warm on the outside of the cake it was still frozen in the centre. We called on short notice for a Sunday lunch after our plans at another place fell through. The woman who greeted us was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The ambiance was delightful, and the food exceeded my expectations. The cauliflower cheese was incredibly cheesy, and the gravy was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this place. What a lovely quaint little pub. Had a lovely carvery extremely generous portions all fresh ingredients. Staff were very attentive and welcoming. If you would like a relaxed atmosphere and a roast , just like your grans then this is the place. Also dog friendly.
