"It is a lovely little pub, im sure it is better at dinner times and in the evenings....however we came for a lunch with 3 kids in tow, 1 with special needs, the table we sat at wasn 't 'set up ' however was very close to the bar. I picked up a menu from a table near by just to have a quick look, was going to return it and a barman came and very loudly told us that menu was for the other table. He made our visit really uncomfortable, for quite a lot of money the service didn 't reflect the price, it has out me off returning, and it 's my local! It was also quite cold. A homely pub with giant food portions, plenty usual faces and unusual interior design . Seriously, the cheesecake is to die for, chips are the best in somerset (really) and the lasagne is brilliant. Returned to here a few times now, and they do really well. Had a roast recently; beef was a tad dry but everything else was tasty and aptly portioned. Thanks!
