6 friends from work went here on a Thursday night. Three course meal was only £20 and it was absolutely fabulous. The place itself was very nice with low ceilings and beams. Certainly the best roast I have ever had. You must try this place

We visited this traditional Carvery for my husbands birthday. The staff are always friendly and the food good quality. There were many new faces with the staff but the service was excellent. Thank you to Lewis for looking after us, nothing was too much trouble....

Just been for our 3rd visit. We liked it before but tonight was even better. Great staff and service. Polite attentive and really made us feel welcome. Food was great as always and as meat lovers there was more than enough. It's definitely a place to visit time and time again.

The food here is amazing, what makes it so special is how passionate and proud the chef is. The meats are cooked low and slow so they fall apart when you eat them, and they are very generous with portions of meat unlike most places. There is a small selection of veg, usually 2 options, but that’s plenty when you have so much meat. The chef will tell you all about the food and how it’s cooked, and will encourage you to go up for seconds if you’d like to although we’ve never managed to do that! Very disappointed with our experience here today. We had a 5 pm booking and although there was quite a few spare tables we were placed at a table that was squashed into a corner next to the disabled toilets and next to an extremely loud, large family that dominated the area around us making us quite uncomfortable. The starters were ok and the beef on the carvery very nice but the lack of choice in vegetables was very disappointing (carrots &cabbage being the only vegetables served). The Eton mess dessert was terrible consisting of a bowl of cream with one strawberry and one small meringue sat on top, not what I would call an Eton mess at all. All in all I would say not a very enjoyable exper...

Dirty restaurant and rude staff. I was spoken to by a blonde girl who seemed to be a supervisor- she was obnoxious and rude in tone. She was also seen to be bullying other members of staff through a rude tone and demanding and degrading comments. The food was poor with only two veg options and burnt roast potatoes. Felt incredibly rushed through the whole meal and overheard staff talking about how they needed to get us out fast- blonde girl kept saying she wanted to go home so get the customers out fast. Restaurant was dirty with sticky tables and grim carpet. Not a nice experience and this particular waitress/host lady was horrible in tone. Never coming back. Staff in general seemed to be l...
