An excellent inn for an overnight stay the staff were very friendly offering a good service and a very good breakfast. Room was very comfortable aswell

Deeply disappointed. One hour wait to receive 7 meals, six of which where totally inedible. Manager apologised and we were not charged for them. A family reunion totally ruined

We had the pleasure of staying for 2 nights including breakfast and we did a Sunday meal. All were exceptional. Very welcoming. Rooms were beautiful and very well set out and clean. We had a family room and double for our son and his girlfriend, very impressed and would highly recommend.

We arrived and there was a friendly buzz around the pub and we looked forward to pleasant Sunday lunch. Fast forward nearly two hours and we were still waiting for our main meal. The service was disorganised and chaotic. With nobody seemingly occupying a role of any authority or expertise. We eventually asked for the bill and left.

Had my son and daughter-in -law kirtsy and bens wedding on Friday the 14th of June. What can I say it was absolutely fantastic from start to finish katie the events manager was fantastic everything was perfection from Planning and and organising. Went for a meal on Saturday evening (just before bonfire night) with our dog. Chose the Huntsman because it is out of the way and unlikely to be bothered by fireworks. Meal was excellent well cooked and resonably priced. Very good choice of gluten free options. I chose the GF fish and chips, which was huge. All other meals were excellent also. All staff were attentive and polite. Plenty of other customers with dogs. Could perhaps be an issue for those without dogs? We reserved a table in the dog friendly bar area. Will definitely come back and would thoroughly recommend to others.

The venue is large and full of character, clean and well maintained including bathrooms. Staff were polite,pleasant if a little run off their feet as there catering for 90 guests. Food came in good time however... The pate was full of flavour and a generous serving. The roast beef was really tender, two large slices... As for the veg.. al dente is not raw. The roast potatoes I had to ask what they were as they were so anemic.. I have never seen half a large carrot sliced length ways served on a plate before , this was also hard as was the broccoli. Yorkshire puddings were fabulous! Large, light and crispy. The chocolate brownie was served warm with ice cream, really tasty. Yes I would go aga...

We have been to The Huntsman many times for meals, with family, friends and for special celebrations. Sadly and very disappointingly the food served has got much poorer over our last 3 or 4 visits. Prices have increased understandably, but cutting corners on the quality, quantity and presentation of meals is unacceptable. Piling high a roast dinner with a huge Yorkshire pudding balanced on the top, on a far too small a plate does not make the meal look a decent or bigger size, it just spoiled the whole meal experience! It was a fight to actually find the meat, veg and roast potatoes under the ridiculously over sized Yorkshire pudding without spilling half the food onto the table! Bottomless... Speisekarte ansehen
