The Indian Dining Club

The food at this restaurant is fantastic and the staff are lovely. The service is really quick and they always make sure we have food on the table. The decor is also lovely, giving off a cozy, family-run feel similar to Dishoom. I will definitely be returning and will also be ordering takeout in the future. This is the best Indian food in the area!

I ordered the prawn main dish and was disappointed by its appearance, lack of decoration, and tastelessness. My partner found the green sauce on his dish to be off-putting and didn't enjoy his mixed grill. The large Cobra beers were expensive at nearly £7 each. There was no music playing. Unfortunately, I have been feeling unwell since dining at this restaurant and will be avoiding it in the future to be safe.

I was handed a flyer at the Gipsy Hill Fair and it quoted £10 off and BYOB (corkage applies. On emailing them for more details it transpired that the £10 off applied to take-away only, and that the corkage was £10 per bottle of wine, and £3 per bottle of beer. So not only is this establishment saving money by not having a drinks license, they expect the customer to fork out more money than if they had ordered alcohol in-house. Most licensed restaurants charge £3.50 for a beer. If you buy one at a supermarket for £2.00 and pay corkage, that's £5.50. Exploitative !

disappoint. terrible head cold, so wanted to cut a little hot and fragrant. ordered a home delivery by huhn xacutti, with bhindi bhajee and Sag distributor. it came in good time, and hot, but the xacutti simply did not. When I had it before, it's a thick, rich, hot Goan sauce... that looked like someone had randomly put a corma in the box. I called to complain to say that we are doing xacutti." I have pointed out that even her menu it was called fiery, but there was no excuse that alone tried to redele; they didn't even accept my name so they could check who messed up the order.

Amazing food with beautiful presentation and incredible flavours. They have a menu and a smaller specials menu which changes each time we go. Alexander (the gentleman who owns/runs it Maitre D) is always on hand to recommend specific dish and drinks combinations and is a charming host. He is really helpful when it comes to allergies and dietary requirements too. My family have been coming here for years and it never fails to impress whether dining in or as a delivery. Guests we bring here love it, it really is an amazing find. I can't fault it, Indian food at its finest, absolutely delicious.

a bad experience. ordered after the reading of all Rave reviews of this restaurant. both curries stood as bland and runny curry with some pieces of cooked meat in them. it seemed not necessary to make this curry, but someone had emptied a dose of dilute sauce over chicken pieces that she gave as a cook specialist. after our exp recommend steer away from huhn tikka club, huhn nilgiri and tandoori rotis. the pictures on the website are all shiny and some dressed foods look great on it. but as a take, they can judge the quality as it comes minus cosmetic changes. the chef needs serious training, not authentic!

Due to the Gipsy Hill restaurant being closed for renovations, we decided to order a takeaway instead. After being told the wait time would be 50 minutes, we received a call after an hour stating that their systems had failed and asking us to reorder online. This was frustrating, especially since we were initially told it would only take 40 minutes. Despite placing our order around 20:00, we didn't receive the delivery until just before 20:00. Additionally, three items were missing from our order, and we realized that the food was only warm because it was being prepared and delivered from their Kennington branch. We have been going to The Indian Dining Club for years and the food has all been very good quality, not greasy and tasty. It has always been a little bit more expensive but it’s what is expected when you want better quality ingredients and food. Sadly, the last few occasions the portion size has got ridiculous to the point I needed to go and eat something else after. The menu has changed and some traditional dishes have disappeared. I ordered a chicken Shashlik which was no longer on the menu we had but they said it could still be done which was appreciated. WORST Indian food Ive had in South London for 20 years. I had American family visiting and I ordered from Indian Dining Club because the food looked great in the pics and the dishes had really interesting sounding names. But it was awful and I was so embarrassed and kept having to apologise to guests and say this doesn 't represent Indian food in London!
