The Ketch - Speisekarte

If you're a steak lover, don't miss out on Steak Night at this restaurant on Fridays. Located near Carsington Reservoir, it's a great spot to dine. The staff are incredibly friendly and hospitable, and they even welcome dogs, which is an added bonus.

We had a lovely lunch today, it was tasty, fresh delicous food. The menu had a great variety of foods and even had a dog station to make fury friends welcome too. The food is very generous in portions and great value for money. The waiter was very attentive friendly and helpful. We shall return.

I recently visited The Ketch for their Friday night steak night and ordered the Butcher's Block cooked medium rare. The quality of the meat was excellent and it was cooked perfectly. We really enjoyed our meal and will definitely be coming back for another steak in the future. It was the best dining experience we've had in a long time. Speisekarte ansehen

i came here without booking with my friend and 3 dogs. ordered the cheese board for £20 it was huuuuuge! so much so i had some boxed up and taken home ready for the next days meal. the place wasn't too busy and the staff were polite. i would say the pints of coke are expensive, so i wouldn't have that again. but other than that i would come back to sample some more food.

Following my last review which wasn’t great , we returned to ketch after the owner contacted us and offered us a voucher to come and try again . We were impressed that she took the time and care to do this . Went on a Friday steak night and had a great evening . Lovely service , nice atmosphere and the food was tasty . Really happy that is was good , we’re local and will definitely return here again now .

I want to follow up on the last review I made . The owner has since contacted me and was brilliant discussing the problems we had , she didn’t make excuses, but did explain some unexpected events which happened on the evening we were there . She clearly cares very much about the business and wants to make customers happy . We were offered a voucher if we felt we wanted to try again and having heard some good things from locals who have been recently , we’re keen to take up the offer and will be booking again soon . We were a family group of 13, having booked for the sister pub, the Miners Arms in Carsington. However, due to another function we were asked to move to the Ketch, and we were not disappointed! The friendly welcome and service and food were all outstanding. We had the conservatory, which opens onto the garden, to ourselves, allowing the kids to have a run around while we chatted. Staffing levels seemed to be a little low, and we had a little wait at times, but they apologised profusely for that and the kids were all happily entertained so there was no problem. We will definitely be back when we’re in the area!

My family and I visited The Ketch on good Friday 7/4. We had a table booked for 7:30pm, only 3 of us, for steak night 3wks in advance as we had heard good reports. It was a special occasion, my mother was visiting from Spain. We arrived a little early, got a drink at the bar, and were seated. The pub was busy but for the whole duration we did not see any food being served. Our order was taken quickly and we waited patiently……… Nearly an hour later we were not served any food, we were extremely hungry by this point, not once did we have an apology or offered more drinks from the staff, yet there was plenty of staff available. We waited a further 10mins, my partner tried to catch the staffs at...

We had previously visited this restaurant on a steak night and had a great experience, so we decided to go back for a family birthday celebration on another steak night. However, it turned out to be a disaster. The starter was raw, the sausage was cold and undercooked, and the mixed grill we ordered was missing a steak. They had mistakenly put it on another plate and made us transfer it ourselves. To make matters worse, there was egg shell in the eggs. This was a huge disappointment as our first visit had been wonderful. Unfortunately, this experience has put us off from returning to this restaurant.
