The Lion - Speisekarte

Lovely old-fashioned pub and a friendly and warm welcome, very good portions and the gammon and chips were excellent. We will be back with our friends again.

A really lovely traditional English pub. The landlord is very welcoming and made us feel at home. The landlady is the excellent chef making very good food. We will look forward to returning soon.

Stayed for one night and what a gem The White Lion at Wicken was. Fabulous hosting with delicious evening meals. The breakfast was also a highlight. Our room was well decorated and very comfortable. Looking forward to returning. Speisekarte ansehen

I recently stayed at the wonderful White Lion for 2 nights and had a very pleasant experience. Viv and John were amazing hosts who went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Viv's cooking was exceptional. Thank you both for a memorable stay. We look forward to returning in the future.

A hidden gem and a wonderful example of a dying breed The White Lion offers everything you would expect of a traditional British pub. Great food and drink, a friendly welcome, character (and characters) by the bucket load and a genuine sense of being at the heart of its local community. Highly recommended

This is a true local's pub. There was live music on, which was great. The landlady is a lovely, friendly lady, and the young waitress is a lovely girl. We felt that the menu was fairly limited (particularly the lack of vegetarian starters and cold desserts), but the food is cooked fresh and you can see through to the kitchen. Speisekarte ansehen

This restaurant was a fantastic discovery and we only wish we could have stayed longer. They are incredibly dog-friendly here, with attentive and friendly hosts. The food was excellent for both dinner and breakfast. The restaurant is located in a peaceful village with rooms that have lovely views of the countryside, creating a charming country pub atmosphere.

Very rare we leave reviews for places but just wow to this b and b and its owners. Viv and John went over and above for us during our stay. We couldn’t fault anything from the bbq hunters chicken, bread and butter pudding, the love they showed to our GSD, the dog treats, the comfy bed. The list is endless. Viv John are kind, friendly and have such a lovely warmth about them. We couldn’t recommend a stay here highly enough.

My family and I were invited to attend a family gathering at the White Lion. This was my first time visiting this restaurant, and I had a positive experience from the moment we arrived until the end of our meal. The food was of excellent quality and the portion sizes were generous. Everyone in our group was satisfied with their meals.
