"We went for my birthday Sunday lunch and weren't disappointed. Staff were very friendly, we were shown to our table and drinks orders were taken, after 5 or 10 mins the waiter returned to see if we were ready to order, yes please. I went for a monkfish stater, having never had monkfish I was thoroughly impressed, decent chunks cooked in bread crumbs and served with tartar sauce and samphire, delicious. I opted for beef (pink) for my main which was beautiful, served with roasties, greens (leek, cabbage, green beans) and the biggest Yorkshire pudding I've ever seen. I'd thoroughly recommend giving this place a try if you like good food. There's a few negative reviews on hear relating to the management, many are written years ago and I know the place has recently been taken over so I'd ignore these comments and give it a go, we had a great time and will definitely be back. Oh there's a decent sized garden with a small play park for the kids too."

Great to to see one of my favourite places for Sunday Lunch still serving top notch food. It’s famous for the roast leg of lamb and it did not disappoint 10/10! Great service from the waitresses. Can’t wait to go back soon!

I just had the most delightful Sunday lamb roast. It was absolutely perfect, and the recommended side of cauliflower cheese did not let us down—it was exquisite. The entire meal was fantastic. I'm more than happy to recommend this place! We're still here enjoying our drinks, and I must say, the staff is wonderful.

Outstanding food, and I mean OUTSTANDING food, every single time. The menu is constantly refreshed with incredible creativity and skill. Every time I visit, I have the best steak of my life. Staff are friendly and attentive, no matter how many tables they have on at the time. Drink selection is great, and there's plenty of space for the kids. Do yourself a favour and go here. This is a really charming pub with a lot of character inside, and a fantastic outdoor area. It's the ideal spot to visit, no matter the weather. On Good Friday, we all enjoyed fish and chips, featuring tender cod with a crispy batter, and the sides were incredibly tasty. You can see that the chef is dedicated to creating high-quality dishes. It’s a must-visit in Northumberland!

We recently visited the Lion Lamb for a special family Sunday lunch. We were a large party aged 7 months to 70 years, and a dog!. The whole meal was fantastic from start to finish. The portion sizes were amazing, but quality was not overlooked as is so often the case. The whole team were friendly, attentive in their service and really accommodating, even preparing some basic steamed veg for our baby. My nephew loved the outdoor play area, and we're looking forward to returning this summer and making use of the beer garden and the lovely views. Well done Lion Lamb, we are excited to return!
