The rooms are very nice, the food is mediocre. Some of the staff are not very friendly or helpful. Probably wouldn't stay here again. Rooms: 4 Service: 1 Location: 4

Went with family for a meal today, food was ok but had to wait an hour for starter, then another hour between starter and main and the restaurant was pretty very quiet,otherwise would give 4 star

Had a really tasty home made Tikka masala and Cartmel sticky toffee pudding which were delicious! Wonderful service with a smile and very pleasant atmosphere. Love the decor to. A very pleasant experience. Service: 5 Location: 5

I visited the restaurant today to experience it under new management. The atmosphere was warm, clean, and bustling, with friendly and upbeat vibes. The food arrived promptly, was of good quality, and served hot. The kids' portion was just right and reasonably priced at £4.95. Best wishes to Ryan and Laura - may this positive start continue. We had an amazing experience at this restaurant! We parked our campervan overnight for free on our way back from the Lake District and were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful building and the friendly new owners. We highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning next year. It's much better to stay here and enjoy a lovely evening than staying at a soulless campsite. We wish the new management all the best with their exciting plans for the place, which we are sure will make it even more amazing than it already is! Nice place, rooms a little basic but the manager who dealt with us was lovely and is a credit to the place! Apologies I can’t remember her name but she was blonde and very friendly, helping us with checkin as we needed to leave for a wedding fast! Beautiful people deserve all the credit so thank you! Great for the price, at £65 for thenSuperior room it was good value, bed was comfortable and room was clean so no real complains! Rooms: Stayed in a Superior double room, it was a nice room if not a little basic but did the job for an overnight stay! Not much by the way of tea/coffee making, one sachet of milk between two. We are members of the local football club, Hest Bank United, and we always visit The Lodge after our home matches. We like to bring the opposing team for a drink, and maybe some Jäger bombs depending on the outcome of the game, and have a good time. Ryan and Laura have been fantastic since taking over a couple of weeks ago, and they are incredibly helpful even when the pub is busy after matches. They make everyone feel welcome and even provide chip butties for us to enjoy, which we really appreciate. The pub has been cleaned thoroughly, which was much needed, and we love returning to The Lodge after a challenging game. We hope Ryan and Laura stick around for a long time. Keep up the great wo...

The cleanliness and basic functionality of the hotel room was so poor that we couldn't stay the night. The room obviously hadn't been cleaned and there was no hot water for a shower, even after running it for 20 minutes. When asked if we could switch rooms they were unfortunately fully booked, but the (owner I'm assuming) fully acknowledged the room was not suitable and that it needed renovating. Following the 120 mile trip home due to no availablity for hotels on a Saturday night, they asked us to email them to resolve the issue. A week on and no reply. While they were pleasant to us in person and keen to resolve the issue, this obviously wasn't genuine as we're now out of pocket with no so... Speisekarte ansehen
