"Had a really pleasant evening at the New Slow Boat from the friendly greeting to the excellent service....not to forget the well prepared food. We ordered the special set meal for four and were really happy with the quality and the size of the portions....The staff were really friendly and the food was piping hot.....something some of the nearby competitors should think about! The spare ribs in the starter selection were really tasty and the Typhoon style king prawns were outstanding. We call here regularly for the lunchtime set menu which is also extremely good quality and great value but will definitely be returning to sample more of the evening menu. A really good night out!!"

The set lunch is such good value! And there's no compromise on either the quality or the service. Everything was delicious, and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. I really enjoyed the whole experience.

We had a fantastic evening there. The food was superb, the place very atmopheric with soft piano music and the service friendly, efficient and personal. Delightful manager. We will definitely be coming back!!

We been looking for a nice Cantonese takeaway for months, ordered off just eat and oh my god, absolutely fantastic! Piping hot, so tasty and as for value for money it's worth every penny and more! Amazing. Our new favourable food honestly, you need to...try cant reccomend enough honestly

me and my partner visited on a Friday for the lunch time deal for selection of food is very poor no chow mein or chicken balls on the menu in the end turns out having to pay for people chow mein on it's own then had to pay extra for chicken balls.chicken in the curry tasted slimmy not nice at all Would never visit again.

recently visited on Friday and Saturday night food was excellent,staff were outstanding and the owner couldn't be more helpful,as one of our party was vegetarian they were so helpful with suggestions and creating food for them,all our food was beautifully cooked and presented and we...all left full and satisfied,will certainly go again next time were in the area

It was very average. The lunchtime menu is so much better. Firstly what on earth have you done to your ribs? Ribs should be long and full of meat what we got was chunks of bone not at all appetising. Hubby and I...had the set meal for two the chicken meal was tasteless. Pork wasn’t much better. Crispy beef was good. Kids chose their own meals the steak dish was nice enough the veggie dish was again tasteless. Probably the last time we’ll come in the evening. There’s other Chinese restaurants to try. Hopefully with more choice such as a chop suey.
