Food was ok but waited 50 minutes for food and the pub only had a few people in! No explanation beforehand and was told a fryer was down after the food came out. Won't be in a hurry to return

Sunday roast, good food at a good price. We go at least once a month, a hubby who has all the meats , my uncle who is 91 and had a child's roast and me. Lovely pub, family run, nothing is too much.

Eating was good, but we were just waiting for an hour without anyone telling us. my man was asked and she was very nice about it and apologized when they were really busy. about all beautiful freendly pub and nice eating.

Me my partner and nanna come here very often for our catch up meals and we regret trying anywhere else as the food here is beautiful every time no matter what we order. The atmosphere is fabulous and relaxing. The food is a little bit of a wait but we expect that due to the freshness and deliciousness of it. We love the regular bar lady bev, always welcoming and brilliant with recommendations on food. We will always come back again :

Today Sunday 15th July 2023. Ordered 2x lamb dinners. Asked if we wanted cauliflower cheese. Was not told it was extra. But anyway I did not expect 2 tiny florets. 1 florets of broccoli. A couple of slices of lamb. Two massive Yorkshire puddings, which hid the lack of food. Also don't appreciate the 2 aunt Bessie roast potatoes. Been here many times over the years. Food and service deteriorated. GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER. Also no cutlery and condiments for 5minutes

Waited nearly 50 minutes for food to arrive when we finally got it mine was nearly cold I ordered jacket potato with chili it was the smallest one I have ever been served and there was hardly any chilli on it the starter breaded mushrooms was supposed to come with garlic mayo when I asked about it I was given plain mayo all in all a terrible meal .I would go back for a drink as the pub is great and the staff are really nice ladies toilets smell something terrible but they have been like that for years

We visited around 6.30 pm for a quick Dinner. Admittedly the football was on the screens but we were told the wait for food was around 1 hour. Fair enough, so we ordered . The food arrived after 50 mins approx. Gammon Chips ….. 11 chips to be precise and a teaspoon of garden peas. I asked someone collecting glasses why the menu said the gammon was served with Egg and Pineapple and I only had Pineapple. He replied that it was either or and the person taking the order should have asked which. A few minutes later another person came to ask if everything was alright, again I repeated my comment to which he said we could have had 2 eggs, or 2 pineapple or one of each . Tuesday 3rd January .. decided to pop out for tea. We're locals, so always try and gauge how busy it is as to how long the food will be. It was quiet. No more than 5 people in the pub with at least 2 tables who'd ordered before us. We knew this because of the vinegar and condiments that were already on the table. Anyway, drinks ordered .....took us 10 mins to decide whether to eat, by which time one table of food had been served. Things looked good ...Ordered fish and chips and a steak ...waited 1hr and 10 mins. Watched the chef carry boxes of wine into the kitchen during the time of our food preparation....when we got our meal, chips were soggy and cold and the peas had started to dry up. B...
