"kim and her team have made a top job for mamas woke. the venue was ideal for our event with 50 guests. the employees were all very polite, respectful and efficient. before the event they ensured that the room was set up on request and was very flexible when fulfilling our wishes. we received many comments from our guests about the quality of the buffet food and when we went back the next day to the pieces we left there, we stopped at lunch what was really good. this jewel of a pub is a little off the beaten stretch, but we will be worth the visit. there is a good round 45min to walk and dog friendly, we will definitely return for a place of lunch."

"I’m writing this review primarily to highlight the exceptional service provided by a young waitress at this establishment. On Sunday, June 11th, our walking group arrived at the Swan later than anticipated, feeling hot and thirsty due to the warm weather. From the moment we arrived until we left, this young lady went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of. She had a remarkable ability to anticipate our needs before we had to ask. Her demeanor was sharp, friendly, and incredibly efficient. She maintained a positive attitude, bringing us multiple jugs of iced water along with various soft and alcoholic drinks. She took our orders accurately on the first try, delivered everything simultaneously, and checked on us regularly, treating us with a level of attention and care that I've rarely experienced elsewhere. I would hire her in a heartbeat; she is a fantastic example of immense potential. The food was also quite good, but the service truly stood out. Thank you for the excellent experience!"

"I stopped by this restaurant on my way back from a day out on New Year's Eve. The bar was not crowded, but I was unable to get to it because there were 8-9 people who were not paying attention to their surroundings, having conversations with their backs to the bar and effectively blocking access. The bar staff did not seem interested and did not acknowledge our presence. We stood there for 8-10 minutes while an old man with white hair stared at us as if he was judging our souls. We left without either of us getting a drink. There were also a random group of people sitting in cars in the car park. I would rate this experience as 10/10 for the weirdest pub experience I have ever had. Service: 1 Location: 3"

"the plough inn was always one of our favorite pubs, not least because of its atmosphere, and this visit was not a take. the employees who looked around us were not familiar with this opportunity, but as friendly and helpful as always... come to the cook to welcome us and explain some of the more unusual items on the menu, there are a few. among them was brittle, a fish rarely met in a pub. two of our three parties had agreed that it was perfectly cooked and presented in a saffron-velouté for which it should die. we ordered kartoffels and broccoli spears on the side, but really were not necessary. the court alone was more than sufficient. the third in our party had the broken swells. the fish looked enormous, but was confirmed that slightly fluffy and again, boiled to perfection. my brother, I could testify that the chips were perfect, crispy outside, lightly fluffy inside, as chips should be. for dessert we all chose the vanilla cheese cake with rhabarb, which was worthy of the great british menu. my photo really doesn't make it fair. only a negatiw, the day turned out to be colder than expected, so the usual log fire would have been welcome. a word to the wise: eating is all cooked to order, so have a little geduld. you will be well rewarded."

"We had a delightful midweek dinner at Chopstick Bowl restaurant. The Mixed Hors D'oeuvre starter was delicious, featuring large ribs, prawn toast, spring rolls, satay chicken, and crispy seaweed. Our main dishes were enjoyed by all, and the bottle of Riesling we ordered was both good quality and reasonably priced. It had been years since our last visit, but we will definitely be returning soon. The average cost per person for dinner was between £30–40."
