"We stayed at Worsley Arms because we wanted to be near Castle Howard. Hovingham is a picturesque village. The market some Saturday mornings is worth a visit There is nothing remarkable about Worsley Arms as a place. Two things made the place exceptional: first the owners Tony and Sally supported by their extrovert musician son Josh, and assistant Debs. They wanted to help Jyoti. Then the chef some really good cooking there. We had meals both nights their lamb on root herb risotto, calves liver and chicken and vegetable risotto. Dessert one day was a melee of rhubarb and gin."

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant with excellent service and amazing food.

The local lamb was delicious and the sticky toffee pudding was outstanding, however, there was a bit of a wait for the main course.

The only reason we gave a lower rating for the ambience was because it was the quietest night of the year after New Year's, with only a few diners in attendance.

Cracking Sunday lunch the beef was divine (like texture of velvet) could of eaten more it was so yummy. Rare breed Pork was great too, nice to sit on the sofa in front of open fire finishing drink and reading papers. Speisekarte ansehen

Very relaxed lunch and nothing too much trouble, although it was not on the menu when we asked if it would be possible to have ice cream for pud, the result was a wonderful selection of different flavoured miniature cornets.

Very traditional country hotel with attentive friendly service. Good quality, tasty food. It was quiet when we went due to being a sunny day and everyone out but I was told the hotel was full for bank holiday. Came home and booked a weekend here for later in the year. Very nice area.
