The market some Saturday mornings is worth a visit There is nothing remarkable about Worsley Arms as a place. Two things made the place exceptional: first the owners Tony and Sally supported by their extrovert musician son Josh, and assistant Debs. They wanted to help Jyoti. Then the chef some really good cooking there. We had meals both nights their lamb on root herb risotto, calves liver and chicken and vegetable risotto. Dessert one day was a melee of rhubarb and gin."

Very relaxed lunch and nothing too much trouble, although it was not on the menu when we asked if it would be possible to have ice cream for pud, the result was a wonderful selection of different flavoured miniature cornets.

Very traditional country hotel with attentive friendly service. Good quality, tasty food. It was quiet when we went due to being a sunny day and everyone out but I was told the hotel was full for bank holiday. Came home and booked a weekend here for later in the year. Very nice area.
