"On arrival tonight sitting outside with the heaters on at 8pm all seemed good. Ordered drinks to be told run out of orange juice then the heater went off and with the wind was absolutely freezing. The waitress told us they recommended you order a minimum of 9 dishes each and they would come out when they were ready. £8 upwards for each small dish or we could choose chefs special at £5 each oh sorry its £59 each the waitress said as the 9 was rubbed off. Dishes started to arrive and they were very small. Menu is below we got given 1 main course out of 5 then 3 small pieces of lobster with unedible potato. We asked for the bill still feeling very hungry expecting around £220 in total but no £317 see below. They added dishes which should of been included in the set dishes and then £35 a 12.5% service charge which was not on any menu. When I queried the bill was told not to talk loudly and why was I asking for service charge to be removed if you don't advertise it you can't charge it. He said was on bottom of board so on checking it had been rubbed off so trying to take money from you illegally. Left very hungry and we have eaten in the pub which served brilliant food at a fraction of the price. AVOID THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE RIPPED OFF. I'm not sure why I've not reviewed it before, as I've been here 50+ times, but the Rocket Store is our favourite restaurant in a 100-mile radius. The food and cocktails are always fresh, adventurous, delicious, and very reasonably priced. The service is always super friendly, and we have a memorable evening every visit. This is a fantastic little gem in the beautiful and very friendly Boscastle. Definitely worth a visit. Really friendly staff. Great rustic vibe. Super fresh seafood. And possibly the best Panna Cotta I've ever eaten. Each dish was exceptional and truly showcased culinary excellence. The ambiance of the restaurant was delightful, making for a perfect dining experience.
