A very good pub with excellent food and beer. Good service and pleasant outside area which would cater for most weathers. Parking login was a little arduous hence the 4*.

Very enjoyable Sunday roast beef sticky toffee pudding and bread and butter pudding. Service was friendly and welcoming. Parking was a bit of a problem though. We will return

I arrived only to find the restaurant closed, without any prior warning. A kind local explained that the staff received a text saying the boss was leaving, and that was the end of it. Speisekarte ansehen

This is the best pub food I've had in years! I kicked things off with some delicious deep-fried pickles, followed by a fantastic steak. To top it off, I enjoyed a cute little cake for dessert.

I had a lovely lunch with a good friend. The menu was varied, and the food we selected was fresh and served hot. The owner was charming, and I would definitely return. Thank you for a delightful afternoon!

The outside doesn't do the pub justice. Very friendly helpful staff. Food was fabulous Chef very chatty and obviously very proud of his menu. Beer was good. Warm and cosy atmosphere. Open fire. Defo go back Speisekarte ansehen

I read some impressive reviews of this site before booking. good news are they were all on the square. a little quiet for a Mon night, but the 'Pub-Food' was great. I use the 'pub food' only because the price is what they expect to pay for standard tariff, but what they get here is something a good class above the norm. we had four dishes, 2 of the special card and 2 of the menu, and they were all excellent. the other half of the pub has the fire and a nice cozy sitting area that we did not use in the night, but will be on our return, which hopefully will not be too far away.

We were so pleased to discover this place while camping at Postern Hill. It appears the new manager has just taken over, and if the early days are any indication, this pub is poised for great things. The service was outstanding—friendly and personalized. The food was excellent, with plenty of gluten-free options, including fish and chips, halloumi, and more. The chef is very experienced and prepares genuine, delicious meals. Fortunately, they don’t follow the standard Fuller’s menu, which allows for authentic dining experiences.
