The Royal Standard - Speisekarte

Wednesday night is burger night, they are delicious and I would highly recommend them. The chunky chips and onion rings are so good. Homemade with pulled pork, bacon, chilli cheese and even vegan buns.

We had a great dining experience at this restaurant. The burgers on Wednesday night were delicious and the prices were very reasonable. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Overall, everyone in our group enjoyed their meal.

A small pub run by very kind people who make you feel at home, delicious food with raw materials from local farms and producers. We had a great time and if we lived in the area we would be loyal customers. Highly recommended. Speisekarte ansehen

Great village pub, top landlord, top food at the weekends and friendly welcoming locals. Regular changing ales and a couple of nice ciders on tap, seating out the back and to the front to enjoy the winter sunshine. We'll worth a visit.

The food quality at The Royal Standard is excellent and the prices are very reasonable. They offer a wide variety of delicious pies and burgers. The gravy is outstanding. If we find ourselves in the area again, we will definitely return to The Royal Standard.

Brilliant evening meal, couldn’t have been better we were a party of 16 from age 4yrs to 58yrs all fabulous food all hot, big portions and delicious the little kids were served first, so no drama The Landlord, barmaid and Chef couldn’t have done more, the adults even had a complimentary post dinner Limoncello. We had a delicious traditional meal with copious side salad. There are menu options with a continental twist and some for dietary requirements. Scott, the Chef, has a fascinating story and conveys his love of food through the excellent dishes he prepares and the attention he gives to his customers. If you want a simple, affordable, step back in time, don't miss the Royal Standard in Upwey, where time has stood still and the ales are as good as any you can remember.

I called ahead two hours before arriving to check if the restaurant could accommodate a group of sixteen, and they not only did so but the service and food were amazing! Despite being a small local pub with limited staff, they were very accommodating to our group of tired moms and chaotic kids. The burgers, especially the Smokey Scott, were highly recommended. The landlord, bar staff, and chef were all friendly and engaging, and even offered us a shot of limoncello at the end. After a few days of rainy camping, this meal was the perfect end to our holiday.
