Salmon Inn - Speisekarte

We were close by taking a horse to a local veterinary hospital and we stopped off for a lunchtime bite to eat. We were very glad we did, the pub was lovely and we had an excellent reasonably priced meal. An absolute gem.

Close to where we are staying, we are glad we chose to have our last night holiday meal here. Fish n chips, pie boar burger were all great. Generous portions and lovely friendly staff. Would definitely recommend a visit for people visiting this area

Had 2 x rump steaks for £25. This was the best steak we have had for years. I thought it was Fillet. Thick and rare, perfectly cooked no fat at all no sinew just soft and tender. Highly recommended nice ambience. We will be back very soon. Thank you so much. Xx Speisekarte ansehen

This is our local pub just down the road from our house . Everytime we have been for food or just a drink the service welcome has been fantastic. The food menu is limited but the quality is very good. If you like a good local then this is highly recommended. See you soon Kent the team

The pub we 'd intended to have lunch at was closed so we found this on Google maps and thought we 'd give it a try. So glad we did! Although short staffed, the cheerful barmaid/waitress couldn 't have been more welcoming or helpful. The set lunch menu included pheasant 'au vin ' for just £9 and it was absolutely delicious! The sauce was rich and tasty and the green vegetable selection was cooked to perfection. We were told there is a new chef obviously worth their weight in gold! My friend was impressed by an ale he 'd not tasted before. All in all a fantastic find.

This is the second time we've eaten here after a walk with friends, albeit some time apart. The food today for lunch was very good again. The barmaid/waitress was very friendly, and welcoming. The menu included venison casserole (absolutely delish), home made steak pie (2 of our party had this and said it was very good) and even the good old beef burger good a thumbs up and looked very tasty. The prices are very good too. The pudding menu was too tempting to ignore so 3 out of 4 had puds and said they were equally good! Family “ ladies that lunch” Friday 1st March fabulous food , best piece of salmon I have ever had , cooked to perfection, and the bed of soft noodles it was served on were delicious being able to taste each element of the lemon and soy as described on the specials board and the broccoli was al dente perfect. Other food in the party included steak, steak burger and some even made it to the fresh home made deserts ,lemon meringue pie and apple and rhubarb crumble with a pot of custard . Hats off to Wendy the chef and fabulous service from Grace and Kent (the family who run the pub and who worked great together as a team) definitely worth a visit. Unfortunately really terrible experience today. Went with my two sons and our family dog. My youngest fell off the playground and was screaming. Naturally I went to him to pick him up and comfort him. The waitress came over telling me off shouting how dogs aren't allowed and to get off. I had to then take her off away from my crying child as she continued to lecture me. We don't have a lot opportunity to go out as it's costly and genuinely felt like just going home and leaving the food the kids were sad and upset and confused with her and the situation became really nasty for no reason. You could see he was clearly upset and hurt on the floor and she expected me to just leave him? Really poo...

it’s been a few months, but we were so shocked at the time it’s taken a while to process. To cut a long story short if possible; we booked as a family on a Sunday (my husbands originally from the area, we heard there was a new chef) and we’d eaten here in previous years. We arrived, mid Sunday lunch, 1.00 o’ clock, and were greeted by no-one?! Wasn’t overly busy, surly, miserable barman/landlord??..behind the bar ..merely pointed us towards a lovely if somewhat clueless waitress? She went to ‘check the book’ which seemed no help at all, and then nervously showed us to our table.
